Usually there are troubles with your anti-virus software, a firewall or your internet connection.
Sometimes installed apps (eg skype for your internet browser) can cause these troubles too. If this all is ok, tryy to uninstall and re-install AChat, but make sure to delete the main folder too - the uninstaller doesn't do it.
If you want to keep your chatlog or your ignore-list, you have to save it first.
