In my opinion, the current Moderators should be replaced in this forum . They are no longer objective , no longer neutral and after such a long time easily leached

It’s easy to make such sweeping statements about people who volunteer and give their own valuable time and efforts to work for others.
“In your opinion, the Moderators should be replaced.”
Great. With who? You?
Someone who ran or who run a House here and nearly strangled the game by having an underground black list and then blasted forum with some extreme BDSM pics, and I don’t mean just a few here and there. You were posting numerous and excessive pics on a daily basis. So much so, Achat stepped in, not the Moderators.
By all means give your opinion but also explain your reasons and give a solution.
“They are no longer objective, no longer neutral and after such a long time easily leached”
What’s that mean?
“Objective?” Explain please. I have never seen anything but, and when someone has been moderated it’s usually explained in a PM and is because it’s against TOS or is directly insulting to someone.
“Neutral?” Explain please. Again, any debate has only been moderated when it became personal and nasty or directed to keep to topic.
“Easily leached?” Explain please.
My spouse is a Moderator here and cares for the game, the people and works endlessly behind the scenes to ensure people have a good experience in Achat.
He runs sweeps, assists in contests, tries to resolve issues between members and steps up to the plate to be counted in support of new ideas.
He supports Achat, Forum and The Square.
He is fair to people, listens to their gripes and resolves them to the best of his ability.
I see the hard work he and the other Moderators do behind the scenes and in my opinion, they succeed in most they try and do.
Check other forums, I think you will find the Moderators here will come out very favourably and this Forum is one of the most friendly you will find.
And I can also use colours and make my letters bigger too if I want to. I just choose not to make a poster out of my reply.
Regards
Stone.

clink clink here is my two cents worth!
Having been associated with the mods over the last two years and one very closely
i know the sacrifices the mods make to support the game and forum, giving up time with
thier own loved one irl and virtual.
As far as being neutral and objective? that is an
objective opinion based on your own bias
and whatdo you mean leached?i know english isnt your native tongue but leached means to migrate
'the colours leached from the t shirt to her lacy panties giving them a palepink hue'
No they are not perfect who is?
let he who has not sinned cast the first stone.
yes i am biased based on my own observations having been a victim of (IMO) unfair moderation
But when it comes down to it its a dirty job and someone has to do it, Oli you want to take upa position and show us all how it should be done??
I for one am gratefull for the work and effort the mods do to make this place a better place to be

of course people volunteer and give their own valuable time and efforts, but they signed up for the position and this means, even if voluntarely , the job has to be done in a proper and serious way.
life can get tough sometimes and priorities shift but that also means , if there isnt enough time anymore to fulfill the obligations, maybe some backup or a resignation should be considered.
I m probably not the only one who noticed that the current Moderators seem to be occupied in RL and not very present for quite some time now, thats no speculation, its a fact.
And to quote a fellow forum member :
yes i am biased based on my own observations having been a victim of (IMO) unfair moderation
maybe the observation Oli made isnt far off from the truth, maybe some might even feel mistreated as well.
I agree that the post might need some explanation to emphasise the statement but theres no need to make this a personal vendetta against another forum/achat user who stated a plain and simple observation nor should it be seen as a personal attack towards a forum Moderator.
everyone should be mature enough to be able to lead an efficient discussion, share personal experiences and thoughts, because in my opinion thats the purpose of a forum
keep the emotional baggage aside and we might accomplish something here
leach (lēch)

v.tr. To empty; drain
and no, I didnt choose the colour and size to make a poster out of my reply ... just the best size to read

I think that when people volunteer to give up their time for the benefit of the majority, they should be commended in every way. The problem is that they don't always remember that they are working on behalf of the community and for the benefit of that community.
When this is forgotten, it becomes something personal and it is at this point that the person should consider 'stepping down' from that position of responsibility. They are no longer objective and cannot meet the needs of the community as a whole.
This does not reflect on all Moderators that work on this forum but it appears that some have fallen victim to their position of power and should consider the needs of all and not just a few or the one....(almost a Star Trek quote..... Thank you Mr Spock).
Like some of you that have already commented before me, I am also 'biased on my own observations, having been a victim of (IMO) unfair moderation.' I vowed never to write in here again and only do so now because I believe strongly in the good of the forum.
Some of you may not think that this is an important topic, but when I can't write in my own way about things important to me, to have posts edited or removed and to have been moderated in any way, even though I have caused no offense, I no longer see the point in writing or the love of posting in the forum.
The worst thing in the world is to lose trust in anyone as trust is delicate and cannot be restored easily. But I find myself in this position and only hope that some time in the future, people will reconsider their positions and acknowledge that mistakes have been made, no matter how innocent or for the right reasons. Only then can we all move forward as a community to help and support each other.

I can't really say much about this. Not knowing the internal politics of this Forum. And I don't want to know. I am here just to speak my ideas and thoughts, if they are moderated or edited then, ok, fine. As long as there is an explanation for doing so.
I also don't understand the term "easily leached" So again I can't say anything about that at this point.
But, replace the entire set of moderators. Why ? Who would replace them ? What would they do that would be better than who we have already ? I'll tell you. Nothing. In fact I believe it would be a disaster if all mods were removed and replaced. They have helped when I have technical troubles and they have always been nice when I have chatted to them. I certainly would have to think about coming here again to this Forum if they were removed. But, then that's not much of a big deal is it ?
I think its wrong to accuse them of what you are saying. Why are you so pissed off at them ?

Word the Day:
HYPOCRITE
and just so there is no confusion as to my meaning:
Hypocrite
(1) A person who engages in the same behaviors he condemns others for.
(2) A person who professes certain ideals, but fails to live up to them.
(3) A person who holds other people to higher standards than he holds himself
(4) someone who complains about something but finds themselves doing exactly the same thing
(5) A person who fails to practice what they preach
(6) Someone who hates it when people do certain things or talk shit about other people but they do it themselves.
This is NOT helpful to the Achat Community. It is a destructive thread rather than a constructive or helpful one. It offers no solution and no support and is strictly a bitch fest and a platform for grandstanding for those who think that somehow they function on a higher maturity level than others.
The fact that the moderators of this forum have ALLOWED this thread to remain visible to the entire Achat community is a testament to their fairness and acknowledgement of your "right" to post your opinion, not to mention their commitment to allowing everyone to have a 'voice' here.
The moderators are under no obligation to explain their actions to anyone. All changes made to the forum are at their sole discretion, not only to remain in accordance with Achat's terms and services, but to also maintain the appearance of propriety and perpetuate the fun spirit of which this game was intended. The fact that they take the time to try to explain their actions, whether or not it makes sense to you at the time, also shows their commitment and willingness to go beyond their duties and what is required of them.
This is a growing community. Perhaps a 5th Moderator would be helpful for everyone, or one or two sub-moderators. The solution isn't to rid this community of those who give freely of themselves or their time, but to offer suggestions on how we can help them do their job better. Happiness is important not just for the Achat community, but for the moderators as well.

Are you people insane!!
This place should be created for communication and enjoyment. In the last few weeks, I don't want to be here. Every post, every section someone is bitching and complaining. If I was a developer of Achat I woul not visit here either. Everywhere I look, people trying to tear apart people, items, body and anything else that may not go their way. Why can't we be adults and talk about things or tolerate changes for the good? I am 48 years old, maybe I am over the idea of pulling at every loose thread to see how far it will go. Maybe this GAME has gone to the younger generation where if it's not right for you, destroy it, set it a fire and go somewhere else because they don't know how to communicate or rebuild it. Or maybe I am past the honeymoon of Achat and just need to get out? What happens in here carries over to the game, and if you don't see it you are blind and only concerned about your space in the community. I want this place to be fun, this site to be adult and grow. The mods should be thanked, tolerated and respected for the job they do. Not pulled apart thread by thread to change it based on your or their opinion. Grow up now, because you only get so many trips around the sun and if your not careful you damage the ride. Respect your self, people around you and the community or at least your part of. If you don't agree with SOMEONE send them a Personal message. Don't agree with a post - tell them what and why, but use a little reasoning in yor comment. It's fine to disagree, but come on -- to act like a 10 year old about it?? It's up to you and no one can control you but you.
