As the curtains close on another year and the holidays approach..... I am reminded of what is important and why.
In a WORLD that keeps our attention prisoner by constant distraction. Where “want” is often confused for “need” and material gifts appear to dazzle more than personal ones.
During a HOLIDAY that has become far too associated with the giving of “things” instead of “ourselves”. Where cost is confused with value n meaning…..
I am reminded of a banner I once stumbled upon here, the name of its author long forgotten and not as important as his simple, yet profound message, at least to me.
“There is no greater gift or complement than sharing your time, your thoughts and your feelings with another." *
A moment in “Time” cannot be purchased nor can it be returned, it can only be given once before it becomes the past.
A simple reminder that the most precious gifts do not need to be purchased, they can only be given freely.
