Original by the Rolling Stones in 1966
This cover 1981 by Nash The Slash
is probably the better version

What Dolly Parton had to say about Jack White ~ 2016

“Well, I love him to death.” she said. “The White Stripes did one of the greatest versions ever of
 Jolene.’”

The original Rolling Stones song was on the Let It Bleed album of 1969
Keith Richard often sang this on tour and just about ANYBODY
can sing better than him

VS

Paloma Faith's (COVER)

As much as i'm endeared to Paloma's "cover" upon listening to Michael's soulful and HIGH performance.... it touches me more. i LOVES that about MUSIC. ;D

A cover of Dylan's Don't Think Twice from 1963
given a jazz makeover by Hailey Tuck in 2014

"I ain't sayin' you treated me unkind
You could have done better but I don't mind
You just kinda wasted my precious time
But don't think twice, it's all right"

Led Zeppelin's Houses of the Holy from their 6th album Physical Graffiti
but their 5th album was named Houses of the Holy but did not include
the track because they didn't think it fit well with the other tracks.
I never knew that.

Let me take you to the movies
Can I take you to the show?
Let me be yours ever truly
Can I make your garden grow?

The Bee Gees wrote this (Barry & Robin Gibb) in 1967
it was on their first album and was the 2nd single from
it and didn't go past No.41 in the UK charts, No.17 in the US
and No.5 in Canada

This is Canadian Lindi Ortega's 2015 cover which I prefer
but I am badly biased as I dont like the Bee Gee's !
