Babes AKIRA was my first hit.  After that it was all down hill from there.  Just when I think I'm clean, no more anime withdrawal, BAM.   I gave up an just decided to just enjoy the high.  An I have been spreading the addiction to anyone not smart enough to run. HAHAHAHA ;D

I remember with me... I didn't know what yuri was, but he did. So I got it home and was watching, and watching, and giggling at some of the standards like the teen aged boy hero who looks like a pre-pubescent girl... and then there was these two female characters and I figured there might be some subtext... maybe a little something from whenever they have "sweeps" in Japan, but right away they move close and my thoughts were "No way." Closer "No way!" and then they kissed "NO WAY!" and yeah I was lost... they allowed female to female loving without any need for subtext or the like??? Yeah I was hooked.

Mad World

Everybody Wants To Rule The World

There is a cover version of Mad World, performed by Gary Jules. First I didn't like this version, but hearing it in the radio again and again I liked it with time.

Aah, Within Temptation, from my own home country :D

If you like them, you might also like other European bands like K's Choice (90's, Belgium), The Gathering (90's, Netherlands) or Nightwish (00's, Finland).
Nightwish!  Love them!!  I have Once and Oceanborn.  I love operatic rock/metal with a female lead singer  :-*
