Hi,
we have a new version of AChat, which uses better shaders. It would be great, if you could help to test it. To try it you have to replace your existing AChat installation:
1. Save your ignore list, it is in the file 'personal\ignorelist.bin' in the AChat directory. (To find the AChat directory please right click on the AChat start icon, and there select 'Properties'. Here on the 'Shortcut' tab you can see the path to the AChat directory, you can also open it by clicking on the 'Open File Location' button.)
2. Uninstall AChat, and then delete the AChat directory also manually.
3. Download the new AChat:

4. Install the downloaded file
5. Download the high detail pack (works without it, but hig details look much better):

6. Install the high detail pack

Minimum hardware requirements:
There are not really.
Most of the computers will run more quickly with the new graphics. There are older chipsets, which will run only with the old shader (will be decided automatically), or in some cases you can experience slower frame rates. If you feel it uncomfortable, you can choose the old shader in the settings window. If you don't have the choice in the settings window, that means, your computer isn't able to work with the new shader at all, in this case you won't see any improvement.
Future compatibility:
After installing and trying you can keep this version, it will work with all upgrades.
What is the difference compared to the old shader? Please check it and write here your experience.

:D... not certain which directory we are to delete in addition to uninstalling the program though. I am not finding anything in addition when I search for one.

How to find the AChat directory is described in 1.
If you have uninstalled AChat already, you will not be able to locate the directory this way, then install the downloaded new version. Should work without deleting the directory manually.

hmm,... yes I had already uninstalled the program,.. gleaned over that first paragraph thinking it primarily a way to save the ignore list which is irrelevant in my case since it contained only a one active player.

This new change look good to me. :)
I really like how things look while in direct light and while not now.

First impressions Tom is that it is quite stunning. Even looking at the profiles,.. wow... latched on to a friend to test some poses.. details really jump out... was seriously hoping the missing furniture might come back...lol.. nope still gone.
I am running a 3d graphic card, and have to say it must be pushing the limits on it,Some actions appear to be a bit choppy.
You may need to have to rework some of the speed on some poses.. right now Dominating From behind appears pretty unnatural. Though now as I write it appears to have smoothed out some.
At this moment running the upgrade only, and not the high detail pack... definitely can see the enhancements. Tip of the hat... very well done.

Btw, the shiny leather of some clothing looks awesome.

Tom, advise please. I don't know crap about computers. In fact I don't know if my computer has an "enhanced graphics card" or any other whirlygigs. Should I even try this, or wait until you make it an automatic upgrade? Thanks

Honestly I am a little worried about upgrading. I just renewed my membership today and now just lounging around chat I've dropped three times... do you have minimum recommended specs for the updated version?

Well hung around in chat for a good hour and a half this evening... didn't have a problem... figuring the laggy issue is my own system which does have a memory hog self diagnostic that pops in at inopportune times.
So I probably have to echo that question of Janine's... what are your minimum specs here?

i had take a look at the test client and it works good........dunno if someone have try to look in first person during a dance and dunno if this was in the "old" version (i don't think so!): u can see the reflection of the room in the eyes! nice thing, but a little too marked probably (i was in the room whit city view).

I am impressed. The graphics look especially on the avatars much more detailed (e.g. hairs). I also think the characters have much more depth now. Keep on - looks great! How long can I run this test version before i need to reinstall the old AChat? Or can I just use this version as my new "playing version"?

Have had the chance now to experience some quick views at sex poses and I am amazed. The look of the genitalia is very impressive. From my point of view especially the male's cocks look great. Guess the men will say the same about our pussies.

Took a while to download and install but then you have something.. I am very impressed with the better quality of the graphics. Understanding now what you have been busy with and very happy to see that besides poses and outfits, you are as well working on enhancing the core of the game, the 3d graphics. Well done A-team.. can I keep this version? lol

don't noticed it.......i notice sometimes take a long time to load the portrait. i notice this in the old version too. not sure if it depend on connection or the client.

matt u say.....not at all, in my opinion. now graphic is more vivid and lot of good improvement in general. don't have noticed if dev-team have improve room texture too or not, but now char are amazing

Still, that's why I used "felt" because it was just a matter of how I perceived it.

Too Shiny, I like the new texture but the HIG upgrade seemed a little too much, also the edges are too shard, its like theres a pixelated outline around the avatars.
Never the less, it was an improvement on the original :)

Perhaps you should enter different sliders for light, shiny things, level of detail and textures.

sorry if i don't answer you soon, but yes, you was right. at the begin, client load more faster.....maybe cause most of the update was in the new client itself

mmmmh, don't know if it's just me, but i have the impression graphic is changed a little: skin look a bit different, more detailed if you use first vision camera. someone have noticed it too!?

I noticed it last night, hentaiboy. the skin up close is very life like now.. definitely an improvement over the previous graphics, but there's more that can be done. They're getting there though..

Tonite at the window of the log cabin, although I should have been preoccupied, I noticed shadows on the snow, never noticed them before, are they new?

today I installed the new version and package of high detail too. All I've ever noticed so far is a great improvement, with no exaggeration.
I guess it depends on each individual hardware, quality computers, most of quality external graphics card then of monitors, screens .
For e.g - I have a Dell ultra sharp proffesional monitor 23 "inch and an quality external graphics card so i would say with this upgrade compared to the previous version, things look so so much better.
There is no too light or too shiny...
As for me, for the first upgrade in this regard, I am thrilled - you may be able to adjust settings for your monitors, screens ... maybe it can help a bit , increase the impression of a somewhat.

i installed hd version 1.17 on my old achat without uninstalling somethings and it works fine..i didnt lose my ignore list also..thx for that great job..kisss :-* :-* :-*

Make the Ready, Busy, Offline update in real time.
Newbies like me are upsetting persons by not realizing they are busy.
I assumed the green light would turn yellow on its own, but doesn't unless you search again.

I'm not sure what you mean by real time, maybe I am missing something -
The busy button makes a member show yellow which means they are busy or in a room. You do have to refresh on occasions to show the current status of members.
However, if you have not refreshed and they are showing green, ie - free to contact - when in fact. they are busy and yellow - When you message them, you will be notified in an automated message - it will tell you, they are busy or offline.
I think perhaps you may be getting confused with the person who you are messaging is in fact already busy in their chat. They are telling you, they are busy and unable to chat with you.
Those people will remain green as they chat. Therefore they are asking you to leave them alone. Continuing to contact them afterwards would annoy.

I tried to test this thing. Got it installed and running. But tells me on log in that it's not up to date and to restart it to auto update. But it never does. Have done a clean install twice now and it still wont up date.

In room / off room toggle search required.
Search with wild card like "asdf*" should work dfor asdgh... or asdfxxxxx
Profile Description is too short
First person view : It should be focus like human eye... when we walk the world around us we not seeing jumping.
Common cam view : What ever I set should be on that cam for the partner
Room control, music and stripping is required.
