Title: Credit Where It's Due
Post by: Janine Dee on December 22, 2011, 12:20:12 AM
I was stunned when I logged on this morning and saw the changes to the board. For eighteen months I had been left feeling there had been no acknowledgment that gay meant gay. The effective message that I was getting was that as far as development went I was basically a picky bi chick.

Even with the increased interaction that came with Susy's presence didn't help much because I knew full well MF poses were going to get more votes in the polls.

BUT now we have a thread that shows a formal acknowledgment from the development team that they have a actual LGBT customer base! I don't know if I'm the only one who get's how big a deal that is.

I know we want more, we have a definite right to want more, and we shouldn't go silent, but if we are going to highlight the bad we need to acknowledge the good.

To the development team directly, thank you. I hope it helps you to understand that a mere acknowledgment of our existence is a HUGE step forward... to me at least.

I agree with you Janine and I like to point out that it's important to understand that it will still take quite some time.

I think us users who have been on the forum for a while should guide new users so we can keep the forum a nice and pleasant place without constant nagging and screaming for instant changes.

I'm satisfed about this......i ask Susy to start different poll for different orientation and she did it. This is gonna be a little step forward, but really wellcome, cause this give more chance to all. The surprise was the 3some poll: i don't expect it!

Thank you Susy, for this first "experiment" and sorry if we are getting too insistent whit our request!

Eh, we need to not go quiet either. It's a balance, you need to acknowledge the good without letting the bad slide. I HAVE been at it for eighteen months, and it took two of REALLY raising a ruckus to finally get them making the acknowledgment. Making noise is part of the process, but you need to build on it.

Having only been here for a month I dont know what the struggles are to get more poses of the different orientations. From what I have sen in the short time I have been here is that there is progress, just not as fast as users want.

The trick to that New is when you compare it to MF, and look over the life of AChat. That it's happening has come about because LGBT users have been making their presence felt. If they hadn't I can't believe this change would have come about.

That's not because of ignorance on the part of the development team as much as they needed to be aware of our existence. They have been made aware, and are taking steps. The process is not over, and won't be over till the playing field has been leveled out, but again, acknowledging the good is as if not more important as calling attention to the bad.

I want to say thank you to the team for correcting that omission of the wall sex on Adera's winning vote.

Our gal not only gets a new receiving pose but a chance to experience her idea!

(modified to add: thanks to new friend who approached and offered to show the pose... nicely done... and best the full range of options given that were present in the MF version (sans vagina...)

I thought they did a tremendous job on the adaption...

Keep it up Team

It does make for a great MS pose with these options so I have nothing to complain about. :D

Again, now is not the time to fall silent, but giving credit that is deserved is important, and credit is VERY due.

Call them on the bad, and praise them on the good. I'm just glad they're SHOWING us that they are listening.

I may be wrong but the changes in Achat policy match with the arrival of Susy. We can't say if it's because the dev-team have seen that they need somebody to make the interface between them and their customers or if it's Susy who proposed herself but in the end,we can see the result. So of course thanks to the dev-team for having modelized our desires but a BIG thanks to Susy for all she did

I think the dev team has done really good with the last two MS releases and I think it's great that the last one was a release shared by both MF and MS. I know that not all MF poses can be made for MS but I really like it when they are. :D

From kudos to WASSUP?'s.... There is an entire field/orientation that has been completely ignored for BOTH sexes. Men could 'sort of' get by it with a shemale avatar, but females (though they are rare) are totally left out. That's cross-dressers! Each sex should be able to buy and wear the other sex's clothing, if desired. whole new revenue base, nu?  ;)

Easier said than done, Chas.  :D Converting something like the business suit for males to females would require a complete redesign of the texture so it would fit naturally on the female. Basically it would need redrawn from scratch. I doubt the developers would focus much attention on something like that if there wasn't very much demand for it. Don't worry, most of the girls I met prefer the more feminine outfits anyway.

Anyway, a business suit for female is something here we miss.....i mean, girl can wear miniskirt, short.....only sexy clothes. something formal will be great for some important date.

Chas, you mean men can have the chance to buy and wear skirt too!? someone had suggested it, but there wasn't a big deal whit it

Okay, this probably should have started a new thread rather then get put here, but Keiko and Hentai stated it perfectly, interest was too low to justify development resources.

That's not to say that it couldn't change in the future, MM lingered for quite a while, but if you are serious about wanting to see crossdressing available I would suggest finding more users interested in it and having them speak up here.

Also while it is acceptable and understandable to be passionate about a cause you would be better served remembering that you aren't trying to get an underdeveloped area like MM developed, but rather asking them to start something from scratch.

Some of the male clothing is very feminine imo, if I found some of those briefs in the laundry while with a boyfriend I'd assume they where mine. ::)

I have more than that but many have a very girly cut or are made out of lace. Only problem is that they might not be as good to keep things in place as a thong.

Yes, it would take a redesign to make ALL fit properly, but it would be interesting (in some cases hilarious) to just try some objects on without remodeling. let all clothes be purchased and worn "as is". if you don't like the look, don't wear it. couldn't be any worse than wearing long pants with the men's pirate boots...

No, there is no MS version of the pose yet, I hope they'll make one.

It's going to be fun to take a look at the pose later, I'm looking forward to see what it's like. :)

About the erection thingy, if it had been flaccid people would've complained about that and the option to go from flaccid to erect isn't here yet so it has to be either now. It would be nice to have an option like that but I think this will be good for now.
