The recent changes in Achat have included Free Users being cen-sored.
Free Users can no longer see cocks, pussies and no panties on profiles or when in a room. This also occurs in sex.
The hips to the upper thighs are pixelated and blurred.
Underneath, just above the "speed bar" & "Hide Room" and big red letters " Cen-sored for freeusers" and underneath that in white letters " Click here to upgrade and remove censorship"
The amusing thing is, a freeuser can still see all the cock & pussy pics, real and avatar in the search engine.
I can only presume this is to discourage any under - age users.

I don't agree with this decision to banned free users. I have a solution on how they can improve
this but it will take me a few days to think the plane out how it will work out but it is not just with this to make it work
there will be other area that need to be change as well . I encourage other members to input
some of there solutions or ideas they say brainstorming works best to come to a solution where it will work for all

I realize that this doesn't affect me directly. However, as a paying user, I think that it is outrageous that major changes like this are made without informing users beforehand, let alone at the time. It just demonstrates how little relevance users and this forum have to the developers.

A warning pop up appears as you bring up the Achat Home web page.
“Achat. Explicit Adult Content. You must be 18 or over to enter this site.”
It shows two female avatars provocatively dressed with see-through clothing on. Breasts and a bald mons can be seen.
The “Introducing and Marketing” video has not been cen-sored in the same way and shows intimate avatar body parts, full sex and ejaculation.
Surely it would be easier to transfer the warning pop up to the game instead of this useless censorship that has just appeared overnight.
It will drive potential new members away and spoils the limited play for free users who are unable to pay due to restrictions imposed where they live or personal circumstance.

I will be the devils advocate here... this is change is in line with what other sites which moderate what a non-premium can access and view. We may just be seeing the initial modifications to conform to universal practiced standards.
One site in particular requires evidence of age verification besides before allowing a costumer to upgrade to premium status.
young play has always been a problem and stricter international laws in containing their access is a strong motivator.

As bear, I would say it could be a good discouraging protection against under age users, and we couldn't blame Achat for trying to protect itself towards the law.
But most of all I see it as a way to "force", encourage free members to get premium access. $$$ rules the world! :-\
the good point is:
It will discourage the pure "pervs" and free ones using the "worst pick up lines" like "fuck? cock in your ass? etc..."
The frees will have to use more words than just picture to have and give pleasure and want to stay free. So it could be a nice way to get rid of the jerk(er)s. And maybe give the frees a chance to not get ignored as much as they were before.
If they really made this only for young protection, what worries me most is : what will happen when my subscription ends? I would think it unfair to get blurred after 1-2-3... more years of subscription proving I am not too young.
The most disappointing in all this is the lack of information provided about any update by the devs. They should warn us before any update and provide clues about what will happen. I see there is a topic onthis forum where they sometimes did. Why don't they continue to do this??? ???
ps: funny how the word "under age" without space gets replaced by "young" here lol

@Peeka as to update notifications: That is a very valid suggestion. One site I know of and have played at does a very nice job of notifying users during the update process (sometimes too much) as to changes and modifications to the program. At the very least a locked thread in the forum announcing the update changes would be appreciated.
One forum I visit and read actually flags suggestions which are being considered and further identifies suggestions which are under development. I did have to laugh when after 2 weeks people were complaining of the delay in release of the idea.

If you write "FRANCE" that work in the search game, if you write "FRANCE, grosses bises..." that don't work
For the censoring free users I like and I don't like:
I've friends since more 2 years free users and for personnal reasons can't be premium so now they can't play with me :(

I understand fully why Achat have taken measures to do everything they can to stop young users. There is and should be zero tolerance for children to appear in the game.
My point is - whats the point in pixilating and blurring avatar genitalia when its on view in members pics, some real photos, and then watching the website advertising video where everything is on view.
If you are going to do it, do it whole hog. Pixilate the lot & ban cock , pussy and tit pics.
Then where do you stop, are the porn pics in forum going to be banned?
If the warning pop up is good enough on the website, why is it not good enough in the game?
No one likes young, but in the four years I have been here, I found one. I reported him immediately and he was banned or left from my shaming him.
Most members report them immediately.
Others are age play which is easily recognised in general chat.
I do not think the problem is that widespread and I think members and Achat deal with youngsters promptly and effectively when they are discovered.
I think treating free members in this way is far too harsh on its own and could even discourage potential prems.
Maybe another solution could be a three day discount, where potential members provide proof of age and see the game as it could be played and that player getting a red star trial for the three day membership, turning to a blue star on signing up for longer.
I just think its a shame for long term free users, through no fault of their own being penalised.

Please note: it is enough to pay only ONCE (eg. $9.95), and you'll be never moderated more, even if your subscription ends. Also, if you've already paid earlier at least once, you'll be never moderated.

I like Brandys idea of ONE 3 days discount. What AChat now really needs is more ways to buy a subscription. Many dont have credit cards and too many prepaid cards dont work. Even bank transfer is not easy for many (imagine a woman, whos guy better doesnt know and vice versa).

I agree children should not be allowed to get access to the game but I do not think the blurred squares are the answer to this problem. The safeguards should be in place at point of downloading the game.
Free users should be asked to provide details and emails to join up and download.

It is to easy for under age children to log on here in some country's its against the law
so I understand why they are doing it I sure would not like children on here so .
I see Achat as trying to be careful in this delicate situation.

but in the USA most use credit cards or prepay credit cards
Green dot cards work but they have to have your information
and name on it SS Name Birth date this will show the age Verification
easy for getting premium with age verified
not letting young children in every one will be over age ...

I feel this is why they blurred the avatar genitalia . For safety laws
solutions and ideas well help if all can give there in- put to fined ways
to make it work ( Solutions ) for every one ...
We also need to see it from both sides provider and consumers.
As a owner I think of making it grow $
as a consumer I demand for what I wish for more..
so working together to fined Solutions ideas has to come from both side

Thank you for explaining Achat's stance on the matter and confirming why the changes were made.
Of course, any steps to stop young users from using the game has to be the way forward.
In that case, Please could we ask that having more payment methods for members be made available and advertised here in forum.
