Title: Forum HTML
Post by: AusWoody on July 03, 2016, 06:43:51 PM

As happy as I am of Achat on the whole, I am constantly frustrated with the forum coding, it is to say the least its BASIC and well outdated!

Is it possible to upgrade the coding to allow a lot more creativity and ease of use say html 5 compatible and if this forum package is not upgradeable is there a better one that can be used to replace it?

Woody, this forum is made with smf - a forum software. I have asked long time ago for some updates which never came. Also I'm not sure if it's possible to upgrade to html 5. Sorry

The SMF  got a page where you can look at the basic BBC CODES
But I found out the not working in here when it comes to put URLs in here
They will not be automatic shown as in this sample page

http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Category:Basic_Bulletin_Board_Code

so BOTH Solutions not working. Does the ADMIN has blocked the Basic BBC ?

@ GsCougar: Yes, some things are blocked or not activated.

@ Woody: Agree with you. It's just not easy for us to change a lot here and you can be sure, we have asked a lot.
