This song has come up twice now on my "Randomiser"......I've no idea what it's about, or even what it's called, but I think it's a great song.

Been having a hard time escaping this toon in my head...

I prefer the studio version which is the one that first caught my ear listening to Bandcamp but couldn't find a link for it, so it's LIVE you get. Don't understand a word, but it's not the lyrics that have me by the ear...   ;D

And some German pop.
This is...

Nur ein Wort

Wir sind Helden

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=X5kmM98iklo

Their name is refering to the David Bowie Song “Heroes” since Wir sind Helden basically means: We are heroes

It's one of the most famous pop songs in German language and deals with an unanswered love to someone who doesn't speak their mind and leaves too much space to interpret their thoughts.

Just One Word

I see that you're thinking,
I think that you're feeling,
I feel that you're wanting,
But I can't hear you.

I borrowed a dictionary,
And shouted A thru Zs in your ear.
I pile a thousand scattered words
Tugging at your sleeves.

And where ever you wanna go
I'll hold onto your legs.
If your lips have to fall,
Then why not fall on mine? 1

Oh, please just give me an Oh
Please just give me an Oh
Please just give me an...
Please, please give me just an Oh
Please just give me an Oh
Please just give me an Oh
Please give me just one...
Please, please give me just one word.

It's crazy how you're so quiet
How you tilt your cute little head
And simply just give the whole noisy world and I
The cold shoulder.

Your silence is your tent
You place it in the middle of the world
In awe, you tighten the ropes
It'd be silly if
Some girl fell over it in the night.

I speak to your feet
By head and collar 2
Over your deep waters,
I want to make big waves 3

Oh, please just give me an Oh
Please just give me an Oh
Please just give me an...
Please, please give me just an Oh
Please just give me an Oh
Please just give me an Oh
Please give me just one...
Please, please give me just one word.

In my blood
The endorphins bubble up
Whenever thoughts rush behind
Your soft, bunny eyes.

Oh, please just give me an Oh
Please just give me an Oh
Please just give me an...
Please, please give me just an Oh
Please just give me an Oh
Please just give me an Oh
Please give me just one...
Please, please give me just one word.
Please, please give me just one word.

1. "Wenn du schon auf den Mund fallen musst, warum dann nicht auf meinen?" supposedly means if you're stuttering or speechless, then why not kiss me?
2. An alternative meaning for "Zu deinen Füssen, red ich mich um Kopf und Kragen" can be something like: I've gone thru great lengths just to talk to you. And, I'm groveling before you, even!
3. The German saying, "Stille Wasser sind tief" (still waters are deep) means someone who keeps to him or herself still has much to express. A more figurative translation of "Ich will in deinem tiefen Wasser große Wellen schlagen" could be: I want to light/be a part of/stir up your world.
