This morning I noticed we seemingly have all been switched to prem status. (15-04-2020)

Hopefully this is not a fluke or bug but a gesture and incentive to keep us all inside.  ;)

Anyways, this is greatly appreciated.

So a big thanks from us to you Achat dev’s.

Thats s great news. I never noticed as I pay for the year, so I hope the loyal paying members get a bonus too.

  OK.  I'm bloody confused here.

  Just chatted to someone in a meeting place and they've said that they have bought A$ and they are prem Automatically and didn't even say for how long.

  The free prem is still active.  Congratulations to them. And I understand why they've done it.  Another site, I've been told has done something similar. (Free Prem for a month).  It would be nice to get some announcement about this here though.

i totally agree with you zuzannah, and Vaughan

But PR in general is something achat hasnt been very active in, it seems.

I could imagine that a 1 month free subscription (if that is the case indeed) has been added to every user.
Prem or not, so ppl who paid wil also get one month added to their subscription.
But we just dont know that, do we? :)

In the meantime, im happy that everyone is prem.

First of all, a big thank you for allowing free premium time to all members in this time of Corona Virus and lock down.
It keeps us from cabin fever

However, please could you clarify how long this unexpected bonus of free playing will last?

And can the paying members also have the same amount of free time added to their accounts so they don’t lose out too?  After all, it’s the fee paying members that keep the game afloat.

This is the answer I received back:



Hi,
we plan to keep the operation as it is, in the future users need only A$ to buy different things, 'premium membership' will not be needed to use clothes, positions etc. you purchased once. We plan to use the user's level to limit available program features if needed, as it was done when entering the 'City' scene.

I'm not sure what is limited.

I have now forwarded a further email to Achat support to refund my spouse and I  as we both bought a 12 month subscription in Jan 2020
Again, I will keep you posted with any response.

  I paid for the year till 27 Feb 2021.

  Careful asking for a refund.  I can imagine them asking for some (or all) of your A$ back.  You know 6000 A$ for a 12 month subscription. Be prepared for that.

Achat support emailed me and  has refunded Jess and I  for our 12 month subscription from April 2020 onwards.

Before that we obviously paid for a valid ticket like everyone else.

If anyone else has paid for a subscription that includes April 2020 onwards, I suggest you also contact Achat support as it is free to use from April 2020 onwards.

We got refunded in A$ (Achat credit) so you should too.

I think it's a great idea and long overdue.
It should encourage new members and hopefully what hasn't been spent on subscriptions will still be spent buying clothes/poses etc.
