Sorry folks, realized I hadn't started this thread yet.
I just recently bought a PS3, and with that PS3 I bought Dante's Inferno.
I bought it because I love the original poem, I bought it because the graphics looked amazing, and I bought it because I loved the idea of the hero's journey through Hell.
If you are a Literary Nazi you should avoid the game. While they strove to honor the source work being guided through the lairs of Hell with an all access pass doesn't make for as good of gaming as Dante the Mercenary who had went on the Crusades after being promised doing so would absolve him of all his sins comes home to find his fiance and his father murdered.
When he finds Beatrice's body her spirit rises and talks to him before being snatched away by a man made of black smoke.
You learn the man is Lucifer, you find out he's dragged her to Hell. You chase after her.
It is awesome.

Maybe Metal Gear Solid 4... I've loved the franchise, but have fallen out of love with stealth games.

Don't have a gaming system, just what I can play on my PC, play one MMORPG, Perfect World, thinking about getting World of Warcraft, any suggestions anyone?

How are you managing the MMORPG? I have a friend who admits he lost a year of his life to Everquest, or as he calls it Evercrack.
I ask because there are a ton of offline PC games... I STILL love my Diablo's 1 & 2, and there is even word of a 3... though it's not a reliable word.

I love all my games. The addiction last as long as the game. Some games take week to months to finish. I try to stretch them out long because I can go days without leaving the house if its a really good game. I make myself get up and move around. Its the good games I don't want to see an end to. I had one game that I got to the end to but I refuse to fight the boss. I just refuse to let the game end for me. It was by the same creators as Final Fantasy but they made this game for Xbox360. Hoping they make it for PS3 too.

And I've played the first two Gods of War on PS2, but since they are bundled for the 3, and since I really do love them I'm willing to pay for the graphical upgraded and learn to love them all over again, and yes Kratos is not a nice man. ;D

I've got the Wii. I love sports games, especially when you can play with friends. Tennis, Bowling...
I also play Formula 1 (very seldom, not enough time) and the new Sports Ressort.
Of course I have the Wii Fit Board and use it sometimes to do some exercises.
I have played Formula 1 on PSP3. Great! A friend has this, using a big monitor and a special racing chair, including an extra wheel. Absolut realistic.

Oh yeah. I saved up for the BIG gaming TV... the only way to fly... though I haven't bought any gaming chairs... not sure about them because the only ones I've seen are the ones that have rounded bottoms and sit on the floor.

Don't laugh forgot the name. I traded my XBOX360 and gave the game to my bro, ordering him never to trade it. Been months. Big screen is the way to go. I love mines, if I could hump it I would. Yeah I just said that. The Wii is nice also, but PS3 is suppose to be putting out a new controller just like the Wii. Find out soon which is better.
I refuse to buy anything else with my games. I alreay have three expensive addictions as is. Refuse to add another. Even tho that chair is sweet.

Years ago had gotten into Everquest...seriously tough game in the old version. Death meant something in that version. Screw up and you could lose your corpse, all gear. That was before they finally created a resurrection graveyard. Remember one kid committing suicide after losing a toon in an irretrievable spot. Some folks took it way too serious.

Just have to make a recommendation for you guys. Especially the ones who love the simplistic button mashin and loot hoarding of Diablo and the like as well as the witty dialogue of games like Monkey Island and Sam and Max. Check out the new XBLA and PSN game Deathspank.
Simple, but brilliant. And well worth its price.

I've seen Deathspank in the PSN store... I must admit I hadn't looked twice. I still have to decide what downloads I'm going to want buy for Inferno, but since the cards are in denominations I may end up having a few bucks left to throw at it.
@Bear... there always is. Movies, TV, pen and paper RPG. There always seems to be someone who is unstable enough to take it too far and get someone killed. The problem is that there's always going to be those who are just a LITTLE more stable who then turn around and go after the thing that the person had happened to be latched on when they went over the edge and blame that rather then admit the person was just messed up.
@Sinnnn... I'm not sure that's healthy sweetie. :P I mean building up all that tension, but not getting that big final release of the ending? ;) There's always the replay value. I mean I've already beat Lucifer on the first two difficulties as well as completed the Dark Forrest and Gates of Hell arena... at this point I'm planning on starting the next difficulty and looking into downloading the Trials of Saint Lucia. So there are ways to get more bang out of that buck.... and yes I think I crammed all the sexual metaphors I could there. ;D Including the last one.

LOL, oh Sweetpea I can't can't bring myself to play to the end with this game. Its like having the best sex ever with the right person, you just don't want it to END. It does :-[, best ending ever. But in this I have CONTROL on ending it or not and I perfer to just float in the unreality of it all. Unless I accidentally see the ending on someone elses system :-\ :-X :'(.
But one game I do enjoy the replay factor is Nier(has 4 different endings. Playing it over and over again will make me go blind one day. Bloody fun. ;D

See now Splinter Cell is a stealth game, and while I can appreciate being sneaky I have lost my taste for games that focus on it, but that's just me.

Call Of Duty. This may sound vicious but I love sniping. I will camp my ass off just to snipe someone. Campers are sooo hated on the On-Line game. HAHAHAHA

Personally find brutal joy in taking out a camper though...
Dragon Age was the last game I played to completion,...found the relationship development interesting as a modifier to abilities. I know it got considerable criticism for FF and MM action, but thought it added a great deal of depth to the story.

If your graphics card can handle it, then PC is the best option,.., replay on this game is considerable, since the options and choices you make definitely impact the attitude of the supporting cast and environment. IMO the best of that genre.

I'm considering a digital download of a old PS1 game Legacy of Kain. I played some of the sequels on PS2, and I love the series. I think it was one of the first, if not the first game I played where you weren't at all heroic. (Life recharges are people chained to walls, and you have to drain them all as even if you are full it will help grow your life bar.)
But with this game you start as the mortal nobleman Kain, you die on the first level (I guess they throw guys at you till you die.) You then wake up in hell and agree to a Necromancer's deal to let you get back and get revenge, he just fails to mention you're coming back as a vampire.

Anyone play Doom 3? I found it thrift shopping today and I plan on installing it on my PC.
My question though is if anyone knows where I can find the flashlight mod. I remember back when this first came out I heard how you can use your flashlight, or your gun, not both, and I don't want to even mess with that.

right now im playing rome:total war. been wanting to play it since it came out but my old comp wouldnt run it.

That's one of the reasons I do not like online play. I have too much in my life to dedicate myself to developing the skill level of some of the basement dwellers who live on this online game server or another, and I don't want to have to sit and have them speak/type how I got PWNED!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Five Janine. An Tomb Raider is coming out with another game, hmmmmm didn't she also have some movies. Resident Evils, Silent Hill, Fear and Fatal Frame, Folklore and again Heavenly Sword(cause that chic was just so Heavenly).

Oh! Maybe I'll look into Heavenly Sword. I don't know if I mentioned, but I have basically finished Inferno off (some online trophies to earn, but some I have no real plans to both getting, like the ones for designing and uploading your own trials). So now I am deciding on what game I want to get next. I was leaning towards GTA4 since there's also two additional versions you can download off the PS Store that use the disc, but are basically new games with the GTA4 engine.
But I remember Heavenly Sword catching my attention way back when it first came out.

If you like racing try Blur, you can play on-line or game mode. Its fun, I just like wreaking other ppl cars than try to win. LOL

I went GTA 4, and sadly I'm not too happy yet. Admittedly this is with less then a day in, but I feel like "Go here, do this, go there do that." Part of the what made GTA 3 the ground breaker it was, was the "Go here to do this, OR there to do that, there to do that, etc, etc, etc." I know it's early, but with he 5 GTA's for PS2 I would get just ad far into the storyline as I needed to save and survive. (Like in San Andreas I needed to unlock the restaurants so I wouldn't starve.) Then I would do all the extra stuff, ambulance, firefighter, vigilante... I don't have that option here. I can't even run and pick up the free guns so I can stock up on ammo until the weapon itself is unlocked in the main storyline.
I don't want to cheat, I'm not going to cheat, but I really liked being able to put in the work to make myself a bad ass before getting into the main story... not to mention just earning some extra cash so I wouldn't have to count every damn dollar bill.

personally i like RPGs and action games. stealth games are cool but way too slow sometimes. i love a good challenge, but i prefer running around & blasting things ;D
and the most *perfect* game for me...as far as difficulty level & learning curve...was Legendary Axe for the TG16. but...the last boss was *so* easy because i found the safe spot right away and used the turbo button to whack him to death really fast ;D

OMG I remember Crystalis. I loved that game so much. They need to remake it so I can play it on the ps3. I like going round talking to the animals, the swamp, man loved that game.
Bloodrayne was good, but what was up with that damn stupid movie they made.

I own both the Bloodrayne games, and I adore the character. In many ways it's the character that can either draw me into the game, or make it all but unplayable.
That said, especially in the first one, I am not afraid to use the cheat codes.
There's challenging, there's hard, and then there's why am I wasting my free time fighting the same boss AGAIN. There is no specific formula to it, because each game is different, but there is a definite point where it stops being fun, and if it's not fun logic says I should either stop, or just get the damn cheat code and get past the part troubling me.
I have to figure they kinda knew that since they made the codes such a obvious part of the game menu.

I'm surprised that no-one's mentioned the Fallout series - you get so many possibilities from a single title: plain old shoot 'em up action, stealth, problem solving, questing, character upgrades, these games have it all IMO. Plus the gore and swearing doesn't go amiss ;)
I've got Fallout 3 and New Vegas on PS3, been working on FO3 for about 50 hours now in total, and I'm no more than a third of the way through it! Not seen too much on NV yet as I've just had a quick look at it but didn't want to get too distracted from FO3.

Today I played Killzone 3 for PS 3, which I bought some weeks ago. Killzone uses the new playstation move and can be played in 3D - great!!!

not necessarily a video game,..but a fun site to play in is League of Legends.. a free pvp site. A nice program that is set up to match the skill levels of participants, and practically impossible to tweak your character... makes everyone fight under compatible guidelines. The AI is pretty sophisticated... so groups can tackle progressively more challenging conditions to hone their skills for real combat.
Best part is the battles against the AI allows you to test different characters,.. there are close to 70 to choose from... which are rotated weekly,..(maybe bi-weekly) so purchasing or unlocking a av' isn't a blind gamble.

Got it downloaded, tried it today - it's very impressive for a freebie, so where's the catch?

Have found it yet, other then taking time to build up the points to unlock what I perceive as more powerful toons... (the top of the line ones) but if you temper your play and maximize your experience returns daily.. (there is a slow trick to that) it takes a few days to rack up enough to unlock a mid power toon or highter for your own personal use. You can only gain so much in "spendable points" by playing the AI... (son breached it at level 17) after that you can only gain the IP by playing against real people. Of course you can spend money and buy riot points to unlock packages, toons and boosts to returns on end of game experience (which sounded pointless unless you were trying to get an account up high quickly) or the IP boosts to gain spendable scrip faster.
Seriously a lot of fun for free otherwise

I do game, not a fan of the MMorpg, even though many friends have tried to get me into them.(have tried many)
these are my fav games (because of their re-playability)
Fallout New Vegas ( I have tons of fan made mods) and I have wandered the Mojave countless times
Fallout 3 (got mods for it too) got one that turns you and your followers into little kids, its kind of goofy
Mass Effect 1,2, and 3 (no mods)
Dragon Age Origins
KOTOR 1 and 2 (Xbox)
and Jedi Academy- Multi Player (every once in a while I get on)

when i got my 1st PC many years ago i purchased a game callled "X-Com enemy unknown" it was a turned based squad tatical comabt game. the graphics were not the greatest.............but the game play was addictting to say the least. in brief the game was about the earth being invaded by aliens, your job was to organize a defense force.........shooting down UFOs entering the crash site and killing or capturing the aliens and collecting artifacts to research to use the alien weapons against them. the game was very deep and a bad decision made months before could come back to haunt you.
i mention this because they have just relaesed a new version of the game with the same title, i have it installed and have played a bit to get back into the xcom mood. from the reviews i have read and reports from people i know playing it its a fantastic game. if you like a game where you make life and death decsions on the battle field and in the research labs. give it a look. versions made are for PC/ Xbox/Play station.

x-com was a fantastic series. indeed one bad move and your favorite squad was feding the invaders.
Eldar Scroll series another favorite though I have notplayed Skyrim
Total War series is another of my favorites espcially the shogun scenarios.
Dragon Age and Assassins Creed were quite entertaining.
I still play League of Legends which I consider the most balanced free pvp out there.

personally I fucking loved it, got a old school feel to it with 3D twist and her voice actor was great for me she could use more practice but over all I liked it a lot. the story was was nice opening for more info on Sames's past.

Well, yesterday i had tested it on the EU server (European users can't access to the north american ones!) and honestly, i was a little disappointed for the waiting time to log in: the english PVE server had a queue of 35 minutes! so, at last i had test it on the france one.
A little of lag sometimes for the massive presence of player in general, but i can't tell you so much, cause i had reach only level 5 or 6

I have played the Beta for TERA and I did not care for it much. It plays just like any other MMO. except you have to click the mouse button every time you wish to attack. you can also doge but not all classes can doge some block in coming attacks. there not much difference from beta to the what it is now. skill usage is the same as in every MMO witch i hate. there are big party monster you fight. but over all not much innovation, its slow for a action MMO. if you like WOW you my like TERA. as for action MMOs go i prefer VINDICTUS by NEXON.
For now I'm playing Path of Exile. I'm really enjoy that one.

there is no difference from PC to the console version of mass effect series. except you have to play it through Origin for PC and that can eat up bandwidth. the console are better because of that.

I bought Guild Wars 2 Last week and I actually like it. I have always hated MMorpg or quickly get bored with them. This is different its fun.
Now if I can just find a way to change my clothing to something sexier. :P

Kaidan wasn't all that sexy in ME1 but they did better in game 3 (especially when he picked me up and took me to bed ;) )

hehehe well this FFXIV Realm Reborn has captured my interest. It comes out this fall and i think i'll be stuck on that game for awhile lol. here's a silly dancing video from it that made me laugh. not as sexy as Andrea's but it'll be a good laugh ;)

I bough a game ( ME3 ) for my computer . I installed it , but it didnt start when i tryed to play . I was supposing that it wasnt compatible with my computer .
Yesterday , i downloaded the demo version of ME3 and it worked . Does it mean that the game is compatible with my computer ? and if yes , is the game i bough hmmm kind of corrupted ?

Rukya, when i bought Sacred 2, the game wasn't working even if the installaton went good. I found out there was missing file in the installation directory (the game advice me about them, during lunch), so i manually copied them from the CD to the installation folder.
Is this your case!? if not, ask to a friend to test it and if he have the same problem took the game to the shope where you bought it

Are you using "Origin" ? Here I had to download Origin and use it to play Mass Effect 3. Origin is EA's version of Steam.

Yes , Origin was included with the game . when i launch the game i have the synchronisation of datas , then nothing happen after

oh, you may have to update Origin, not ME3. This happened to me months after I first played it and had put it away for a while, and then it wouldn't launch.

I got the beta and played it the new overhaul is much better and the game is playable now. so i'm excited to play the full game now :)

its not bad :) if you have a Nintendo Wii U try it you can get a demo online. But if you have a PS3 there is the Final Fantasy 14 coming out in a few weeks ;p well also you can get it for PC too.

I just finished Bioshock Infinate. It has a twilight zone type ending. Took me a while to get into it because I am not generally into FPSers. but once the story took hold, I was pulled in.

Wonderful story. 8 different romances you can attempt, hetero, same-sex even a BDSM based one.
I had to buy a new PC to be able to play this but I have already spent 145 hours on 2 finished playthroughs and now I am on my third.
