We've got a new room, but they want 899A$ and it seems there is only a bed, no further furnitures. So the question is the price.
The ggod news, they are listening and also showing that other locations are possible.

the price sucks and I was just thinking bout becoming prem again. sheech! nothing but a bed? well at least they gave us something but lower the price. :P

The price is probably matching the amount of work they had to put into it, but all the same A$899 is expensive.
I may consider it in the future, but it would only be after I would find myself willing to sign on for another year.

I can imagine them putting a lot of time in the room, but almost 900 A& is a bit too steep for my taste. I might consider it after I've actually been in the room. Does anyone want to invite me? ;)

for that kind of $A ...... should have not only a bed, but a table, chairs.... and a big screen tv so I can watch ESPN...bowl games are cumming up....... cuz at 899..... I would have to spend a lot of time there to justify it...... (I wonder if it comes with cable and wifi??)

A friend showed me the room (first time i roomed with a guy ;), thanks dude!) and liked what I saw but not for that money. Half the price would be acceptable. 900 is way more expensive than anything else in the shop and not as spectacular as some...

Stopped back briefly hoping to catch someone and say goodbye,..saw it and bought it. Reminded me specifically of a special place I had played out in before... price caught me off guard (clicked mindlesssly...was just thinking "oooo I have to have it"...would have bought it anyway),...haven't used it,...so my review will be long off...I am paying for ambiance here...definitely looking forward to the opportunity to employ it... mmm perhaps a special reunion.
IMO...certain the room creation takes a bit more programming,...coordination, expect high costs than poses...at least happy they are listening to suggestions of direction.

looking good, but I agree, its too expensive. Maybe we dont know much about this room (there's no description). Possible that its "apartment" and some poses will be shown in different rooms. If not, then room is too expensive for same lay-out with different textures.

so tight...anything more you can tell us about the room? anything special...or is it just new scenery?

The room has 2 big windows with a view on a city at night. That's the 'spectacular' feature of the room. Other than that there is a bed. And to be honest, as soon as the action starts, I won'tbe focussed on the scenery, but on my partner. It looks good but too expensive for what it offers...

I got quite alot of A$ right now since there haven't been much for me as of late, I might buy the room... but I'd like to see it first.

i was wondering...if maybe the room was *interactive* in some way. if that was the case, then i'd think about buying it. but if it's just some new fancy scenery...then $900 is too expensive...IMO

@Tight thanks for the info,..and you are correct once things start one isn't concerned about the scenery.
@bobbler IMO I am not certain we would see an interactive room the way the system is currently set up. More likely we might see a room with separate poses to be purchased, specific to that room. ie. the dungeon mentioned...applicable poses to a rack,...restraints..chains..etc
@Janine...yep sticker shock...perhaps they will consider lowering it...with a new product finding what the customers value is a key..if they do hope they refund to those who have purchased it the difference.

i don't think we'll see an interactive room either...i was just saying that if it was, it would justify the price. again...IMO ;)

Extremely unlikely Bear. I know for one moves that I bought at one price when starting here HAVE been marked down, and I haven't seen any refunds. It's like a new release movie versus one that's been out a year.

The only chane I see to lower the price is when they recognize we don't accept these high prices.

Bear was the one looking for a refund. I get that there isn't one coming.

Well, I dont mind either the price or the look. I mean, it's actually one of the better rooms... Looks more like a loft, or a master suite then anything else... I would like to have something like a tub, shower, or even a pool maybe... but a bed is just fine. I mean, this game has yet to even touch its full potential, as long as the coders keep working on it.

Am of a similar opinion that the potential is there...Hotel master suite was one I had considered...see its potential as art studio,...other thoughts exist..once I get back I'll figure its place...I like the initial ambiance and diversity it brings though...but like Tight' mentioned and I'll reiterate, once the action starts,...who cares?
Looking forward to potential other options...mmm
Stable/barn with haystack...
Bar and a pool table
Office and desk
rooms with a different focal point of the act rather than the bed would be of value to me in my play...

Talking about rooms/surroundings with different possibilities:
- swimmingpool with bouncing diving board
- utility rom with washer, able to set it on cycle spin
- a western bar with a bull ride
- an office workplace (mentioned before in another thread i think)
- and ofcourse bathroom with shower/bath...
maybe this is not the right thread to posts these, but something did spark my imagination :)
PS They might consider selling a room with specific poses,with a pose included a offer price *hint*

I got to play in the new room last night, and while it was quite beautiful the graphics seemed to have some trouble at some points. My computer is about two years old at this point, but while the normal rooms seem to be working fine the new room "felt" choppy at moments.

Definite answer...though I thought I had made myself clear...like clothes,...you must be a premium to designate this room for use. As to whether as a non-premium someone can invite you into this room I do not know.

@Bear: You said it yourself. The one who invites, determines the room. Same as with premium poses, once a non-premium user is invited, he/she can enjoy all the poses of the premium user. It is the same in the new room.
And I think it is safe to say that, once purchased, the room stays yours, wether you are premium or not.

I went in the room today. Bed and nice deco red table. Pretty. Say 450 is what it is worth. :P Now what happened in the room, priceless. ;D

I'm with Tight, though I don't know it for safe. I think you can enter the room as long as you choose another one. It might be the same with your clothes: As long as you are wearing them they are not lost.

I think I understand what you are saying Lover...had I chosen it as my base room before leaving I would still be able to access even if not a premium.

True cause I still have that red dress and I sure as hell ain't taking it off. When I went in the room, I was more scared of loosing the dress than paying attention to my partner(sorry, but the dress is hot). Now that I know I won't loose it, I can enter a room with confidence.

The new room do give another air to things than the other rooms and it kinda nice to have the city in the background.

got to see the new room last night ( ;) ) and i like it. i think they did a good job of creating *depth*...making the room bigger. the city backdrop at night is nice with all the windows that you can see out of. i just wish there was more furniture to interact with or use with the poses, as opposed to just the standard bed
but anyway...good job guys...but still a bit pricey :)

Yes it was a bit pricy ! But couldn`t help my self , and a little disappointed ! Not even a chair lol or room service or better yet a MAN chained to my bed !!!!! lol

I hate myself for coming up with this, but part of the new rooms higher price could be that it takes up extra processor power on their servers, but do to the nature of buying stuff they have to recoup all that extra cost at point of sale.

So should we expect the next room to be cheaper? Since they already had to invest in extra processor capacity.

The servers handle network traffic not graphics which the new room is, the only time the room should burden the servers is when its downloaded in the update.
The higher price is probably only what they think it's worth based on the work they've put into it and they probably think its highly premium.

It also can be a test. We are asking for more rooms. Now they look what price we are willing to pay.

I did buy the room in the end, thanks to a generous gift from, wel.. Not to be disclosed. But i think Lver is right (again...), they want to see what we want to pay for it. I wish I had waited for the christmas sale though..... :D
