This book had the biggest influence on me and my way to see the world: Freedom from the Known by Krishnamurti.
Most of his books give us many clues on why we act or feel like we do. And why we are often mistaken by society-build concepts. They help us have another point of view on life and ourselves.

Enemy at the Gates: The Battle for Stalingrad

Stalingrad, the bloodiest battle in the history of warfare, cost the lives of nearly two million men and women. This is a great read, told from both German and Russian Eye witness accounts. the book reads more like a novel than a history book and even people who don't like war stories will find this hard to put down.
