Part of my GaGaLand includes therapy on the mountains behind the ranch.  These next pictures are for our nature loving Miss Sexilicious.  Being a naturalist, I thought you might appreciate them, along with some of the others here in the village.

I went on a ride up to here.

And on the way back down I was joined by this.

On the ride up the mountain, the heat from the valley creates a draft that rises up the mountains.  Our scent wafts ahead of us and most of the critters hide on our approach and remain unseen.  Although I did spook some deer by the cascade.  Mostly what you see is little chipmunks and squirrels... maybe a rabbit or two.

The way back down though is a different story, where you can sneak up on some of the wildlife.  There's a bobcat in this picture, hiding in plain sight.

I was hunting that day... pulled out my trusty camera and shot him... then he ran off over the ridge.

awesome pics Coves,  the northwest section of my Country, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming Oregon. Washington, Norther California is American Nature at its best. and if you have never been there i highly recommend a vist.......  it will change they way you look at things
a song comes to mind

America the Beautiful
Words by Katharine Lee Bates,
Melody by Samuel Ward

O beautiful for spacious skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the fruited plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for pilgrim feet
Whose stern impassioned stress
A thoroughfare of freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God mend thine every flaw,
Confirm thy soul in self-control,
Thy liberty in law!

O beautiful for heroes proved
In liberating strife.
Who more than self their country loved
And mercy more than life!
America! America!
May God thy gold refine
Till all success be nobleness
And every gain divine!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!

O beautiful for halcyon skies,
For amber waves of grain,
For purple mountain majesties
Above the enameled plain!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till souls wax fair as earth and air
And music-hearted sea!

O beautiful for pilgrims feet,
Whose stem impassioned stress
A thoroughfare for freedom beat
Across the wilderness!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till paths be wrought through
wilds of thought
By pilgrim foot and knee!

O beautiful for glory-tale
Of liberating strife
When once and twice,
for man's avail
Men lavished precious life!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till selfish gain no longer stain
The banner of the free!

O beautiful for patriot dream
That sees beyond the years
Thine alabaster cities gleam
Undimmed by human tears!
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
Till nobler men keep once again
Thy whiter jubilee!

absolutely love them Covems :) which fact: the bald eagle a national symbol for the United States was almost extinct (one cause of this was DDT) but thanks to lots of efforts this majestic animal is now increasing more in numbers and more and more people are seeing this animal out in the wild again.

Some more pictures for Miss Sexilicious and the folks that are interested.

On my way down from up here...

...this lovely lady crossed our path.  She stopped.
We stopped and I was lucky enough to have had the camera out.

I could use some help in the identification.
I believe this is a Canadian Lynx, but I'm not sure.
I'm quite sure she's a lynx and not a bobcat.
She has a shorter coat than the bobcat does, and she's larger and sleeker.

For the folks searching out the bobcat.

We're located near the head waters of the Missouri River.  Close to Three Forks

And we do have Canadian Lynx in the area, I'm just not sure of the markings.

Coming back down...

Mountain Goats are bold creatures
Came down low on the mountain
And didn't care who was close by.

Some Elk grazing

Wish I'da had the better camera with me.

And surprise!!!   Who knew that these pictures for Sexilicious would coincide with
 National Zoo Keepers Week.
