Just like it says.  I log in, go to the store, select an item, when I click checkout, it kicks me back to the shops home screen.  Tried several different items, even tried a new account.

That's a strange problem i never had hear of it before and honestly, i don't have any  idea on how help you!

BTW......had you check online if the items are added to your wardrobe!? maybe you have problem here, but online it can work anyway

nope.  items aren't showing up in game either.  Updated to windows 8.1, im wondering if that's the problem

Perhaps you have to deactivate apps for browser like skype
Sometimes add-ons cause troubles
