I Seem to be having trouble when I exit the Client.

I'm logging out and then selecting the close window button.  I'm getting a Windows Message saying.

ACHAT HAS STOPPED WORKING   (or responding I can't remember)

A green progress bar goes across in a little window and I have to select stop program.  This closes the client only sometimes.  Other times I have to restart my P.C. to remove the Client from the screen.

Nothing has been changed on my P.C.  And Norton Anti Virus says that there are no Viruses.  I have cleared the cache with CCleaner and I keep getting the same message.   This has occurred about 8 times out of 10 now over the last week or so.  No other Programs are running in the back ground and all other programs I use (mainly I.E. 11  Works perfectly)

So,  Is anyone else getting the same trouble ?

It happens to me too.

I actually ignore the windows message and click the x button again to close the game / client

It closes quicker and the windows box disappears.

I got exactly the same too and I close it like Skydance does...

I never had that trouble before either. I guess next patch will fix it. Or let's hope at least :)

  This is still happening.

I don't even get the "ACHAT HAS STOPPED RESPONDING" now.  I click the close button and then asked "Are you sure?"

Clicked Yes and the whole Client freezes on the screen.  I have to restart my P.C. just to remove it.

Hello,
This happened to me 3 times yesterday, I just ignore the message windows and close the games otherwise it remains blocked!  ::)

This never happens before or very rarely! and there is not always, I have to start my game 10 or 15 times a day, I don't know.
I noticed this happen more often after being in the "Colds Arena" and leave the game  :o

  I don't understand.  Sorry.

I can't close the game using the x button.  When I press the x button the Message comes up "ARE you Sure Y/N ?"

I press the X again and nothing happens.  The only way I can close the game is pressing the Yes Button.

And I've found something out too.  If I log in and log straight back out again there is no problem.  It's when I go in Room, including the poker, (like Nat said before about the Meeting Place) this is where it happens.

I do "close the program"
Then I have another window "Windows looking for a solution ..." I cancel and it closes.

  Thanks Nat.

But, I'm not even getting the Close program Window anymore that you have shown.  LOL.

Just found out that if I bring up the task manager,  Click on ACHAT and then Click End task it does close the Client.  So, this is the way I have to do it now.  LOL.

Well, two things, and I hope this helps.

1. Norton is one of the worst antivirus programs, and it's likely you have some kind of malware running that it's never caught causing issues. On top of that, you need to get away from using I.E. (Internet Explorer) for web browsing, because it has ZERO security, and lets all kinds of nasties through that Norton will not catch. Switch to either Trend Micro (#1 for Business Security since early 2000s), or Kasperskey(#1 in home pc security), or AVG (#2 in home pc security for 10 years).
(PS - Every time I've used norton, I always get either malware, or virus infections. I use AVG Free, and never pay, and never have any issues. Ever.)

2. Re-install the Achat program from scratch. (Delete the folder where it installs if you must, but get rid of it - uninstall - then re-download and re-install.)

Make sure your windows is up to date also. (Settings/Update&Security/Windows Update)
If none of that works, you might consider doing a System Refresh (Windows 8, 8.1, and 10), to see if a fresh and clean install helps matters.

Feel free to ask any questions about any of this.

  Thanks Jensen.

Okay,  I've installed AVG and did a Scan.  It did find a file that was downloaded with another program I downloaded.  It described it as a search toolbar (Or something like that).  ????  Anyway, it removed it and it found nothing else at all.  Windows 7 (64 bit) is totally up to date as well.

Ran the Client, went into the poker for about 10 minutes and then exited with no problems.

Now this "toolbar" was allowed by me I suppose.  I don't know.   ::) When I downloaded that other program,  Which I have removed too.  So, I'm guessing here,  did Norton see this as a OK file when scanning my P.C. ?

I've been to some Websites.   ::)  And I have been warned by Norton that it picked a virus up and blocked it.

But,  I do have a question.

You say that Norton is the Worst Anti Virus.  Then why does it have good reviews in independent Websites ?  It's scores the same or almost the same as Kapersky.  4.5 out of 5.  And AV test has given protection  of 100 %.

Edit.  Just tried it and I'm getting the same problem.  So,  AVG has said I'm clear of viruses as does Norton.  I guess I have to re-install, but not yet,  seriously have to be in the mood for that.  And I Ain't.  But, it's strange that this has only started happening after I installed the new High Detail Pack.

Right Then.  All I can say is OMG!!!!

I have just installed a anti Malware Program called Malwarebytes.

It found 137 errors most of them are PUP's  (Potentially Unwanted Program)  BUT,  FOUR of them were Malware !!

I haven't tried going into the ACHAT client yet,  Not enough time.  But I will report if it has removed this problem.

This MBAM program is compatible with other Anti - Virus Programs and you can have a 14 day trial of premium too. (Real Time Protection)  After that, if you want to stay premium it's £19.95 a year.  Or $24.95.

Sorry if you know all this by the way.    ;) ;)

Hello,
No problems today, I have done nothing more than usual and everything worked well.
I have only AChat on this computer and I'm on Windows 7.
After I don't know because I'm a customer not a programmer  :D

Thank you Jensen for the tips  8)

EDIT:

I just tried Malwarebytes and found 11 pup's!
This program are in french too, so I like  :)
I think this is a great program but less exciting than AChat!  :P
I leave it like that, I will buy the premium version, it depends how many LBGT poses have this version  ;D

Full Scan from Norton -  Nothing no threats.

Scan from AVG - No Threats.

Scan from Malwarebytes -  No threats.

Un-installed ACHAT and deleted the folder.  Re-installed ACHAT without the High Detail.

I'm Still getting the same problem.

  Windows 7 64 Bit 8 Gb Memory.
