Ok, I'm certainly not a newbie but I'm glad to have the opportunity to introduce myself.

Hello everyone, my name is Janine Dee, and I'm 22 years old.

I've spent just about half that  on the internet, but instead of it having that stereotypical effect of making me less socially active it made me more so.

I really came out of my shell in chat rooms.

As I did so chat started to loose some of it's appeal, but I suppose that's natural because I was meeting real people. What had really ended up killing chat for me however was that my old haunts started getting truly haunted by spam bots or loosing those user created options in a (sadly understandable) backlash against those abusing the systems.

So I kept up with old friends via email and the like, but stopped chatting.

Then I was surfing and the clouds opened up and a beam of light fell on a AChat ad.

I hemmed and hawwed, and then yesterday I scanned and backed up my hard drive (as I always  do before installing a new prog) and I downloaded and installed.

And I was lost.

First in not so pleasant ways as I had an invite to a room (something that seemed normal to chat) which led to me standing across from a  guy who was trying to get me to click on the glowing box where the girl was bent over and the guy was plowing into her.

But as I started to get the hang of things I figured out how to summon RoboGirl and see all the functions available to me, and I found myself saying "$30 is NOT an unreasonable sum to gamble on something with this potential."
