Actually, one should always clean a dildo that's been used anally if you want to use it vaginally or with your mouth... otherwise you or your partner runs the risk of getting an bacterial infection. The same thing goes for fingers, one should clean them in between.

Knowing that I wouldn't want the possibility to use the dildo or finger in both vagina and anus since it would give people the wrong idea about what's hygienic.

You can of course clean your anus really well which will make the risk smaller but I don't think it'll completely disappear and quite often sex is spontaneous so you don't have the time to get as clean as you would like to be. ( I may confess I had not though about it when first replied, I was only focused on the pose possibilities )

Yes, the options to switch from vaginal to anal or vice versa are in many poses and personally I don't mind the options... rather I think it's good that they're there.
