Hi all!
I am Susy, the new forum moderator.
In the future I’ll try to help you to better communicate with the A-dev-team, and keep the FUN in here 😉May 28, 2011 at 2:50 pm #51638BearParticipantWe definitely welcome you susy_a to our community… and appreciate the obvious interest in AChat on providing a body… (cute one at that…flirt flirt… flirt) to oversee the forum.
Perhaps it would be advantageous if you provide a code of behavior you are expecting of us… which gives us also a perspective on the critical eye you will be employing here.
May 28, 2011 at 3:36 pm #51639susy_aKeymasterThanks so much.
I'll post some (very few) rules of moderation soon.May 28, 2011 at 3:47 pm #51640AderaParticipantHi Susy, I hope we'll get along.
Btw, I hope you don't mind the playful banter that can often occur in threads which can be far off topic at times.
May 28, 2011 at 4:46 pm #51641susy_aKeymasterI like the style of this forum, also the content, very well, I can say at least for 99% of the posts.
May 28, 2011 at 5:20 pm #51642AderaParticipantThat's good to hear, I hope you feel you can share your opinions with us on topics even if your our moderator.
May 28, 2011 at 5:30 pm #51643BearParticipantIndeed,… and hope our playful banter directed at YOU suzy is not out of line.
Might I suggest too that that keeping us informed of proposed developments be a part of your job? The updates have been wonderful,..but an opportunity for some who have been playing with them to express some viewpoints and suggestions might be helpful while in the planning stage.
May 29, 2011 at 1:45 am #51644alstottParticipantHello suzy welcome to the forum and our community.
no way we never be far off topic : i hope you don't use a sledgehammer to regulate the forum
but yes it would be helpfull to know what you expect for the future…your rules of moderation i mean.May 29, 2011 at 1:32 pm #51645islandsunParticipantWelcome to the forum Suzy !
If you hav`nt notice I`m the one that sucks big time w my spelling !
Oh oh does this mean dictatorship !
lol !
May 29, 2011 at 4:11 pm #51646LoverParticipantWelcome Suzy_a, as I wrote I hope you just had a bad start.
But I'm not with all the others in one point: I don't need your rules. There are some simple rules everyone should know. That means to be friendly, accepting other opinions and no place for racism, fights, illegal things.
And for myself I can say, these rules are complied. What is your job? Which is the main reason? This is something I would like to know.
May 29, 2011 at 4:55 pm #51647BearParticipantI am behind that with you Lover… I don't need rules other then the simple ones you have stated…
hmmm,…I always thought you were the moderator…
She had a bad start… but she will learn. I ran a very successful operation for a national company. But the very first thing I did when a new hire 10 years before that… a total mess up in the worst possible way.
May 29, 2011 at 5:12 pm #51648islandsunParticipant@ Lover I agreed ! Thats exactly how I feel , Wev`e been respecting each others opinions , and having fun at it !
So whats the big deal !
Rules > ? Gives me a hint that someone did or something `s wrong !
: I mean we all get along , which I feel fantastic , considering people from all over the world !
I still have no one on my ignore list !
Which leads me to believe it`s the > Tech Team < with the problem
Just come out with it !May 29, 2011 at 7:11 pm #51649susy_aKeymasterThanks for the warm welcome!
As I said, I'll submit the very few rules soon.May 29, 2011 at 11:03 pm #51650Janine DeeParticipantI thought I welcomed, but I guess I didn't.
I will also add that while there is some outcry over not being too harsh there is also the possibility of not being harsh enough. I've had to moderate email lists and one persons too far is another's not far enough.
There's always a learning curve as well as a balance between order and freedom.
June 8, 2011 at 9:21 am #51651priasParticipantanother warm welcome to you Susy
