Dear ladies … gentlemen … and in particular all the writers of this fantastic forum land,

today I have spent many hours working on a new story that is a series of scenes taking place on an island between a young man and a young woman.  They are having various conversations and doing various activities, such as working in her garden, having diner together, taking walks on the beach, so on and so forth.

naturally there is some flirting going on between them, but this is not a “romantic” or sexual tale.  Its meant to be flirting when you don't realize that you are flirting (because your young).  think back to those times when someone said to you “you're flirting with her (or him)” and you didn't realize that you were doing that but then after someone pointed it out to you, you felt like your hand had been caught in the cookie jar.  I ask you to think back to those kinds of feelings and times because I am looking for some advice.

I need more descriptive actions to put into my story in between the dialogue lines.  after all, I can only have the girl touch the guy's face so many times, or laugh in her cute way, or have him feel his throat tighten up, or a thrill run though his body when her fingers brush his arm.

If anyone would like to offer advice on descriptions that would make excellent seasoning to my story, please respond below.  And thank you for the help in brain storming some more descriptions.

    Most respectfully,
                        Calid

Simple body language descriptions.  Running her fingers through her hair, touching her neck, bending over to tease with a glance of cleavage, a little extra shake in her hips, extra bright smile, looking at his lips, biting her lip, etc.  Dialogue descriptions such as voice breaking, murmuring, speaking softly.  Inner dialogue such as searching for the right words, or other thoughts that hint at being somewhat nervous or a wanting to really make a strong impression.
