It's the worst, like if you are in the middle of an emotional, or very personal chat, and they afk for 10minutes you get pretty mad, everyone post what you think about this.
June 16, 2010 at 5:07 am #18061apollo13nutParticipantIf it's a really legit reason (like bathroom), then I don't see the issue….if it happens a lot for no reason or no explanation then i can see a problem. I sometimes have to do it to take care of my cat, but very rarely.
June 16, 2010 at 5:20 am #18062JessicaParticipantYeah i can understand like real issues, but like if it takes 5 minutes to respond after each sentance it angers me, although i am an inexperienced lover here, and in real life, i dont like when someone afk's for no real reason.
June 16, 2010 at 5:24 am #18063sinnnnParticipantwell real life have to take ist place with fantasy. so it doesn't bother me, just chat with others till he/she comes back(that is if the luck out an i'm not in a room). Things happen, now if they kept doing it over an over, they need to get off an finish what they need to do an then sign back on when they are done.
Then you have some that are chatting with more than one person. So i can understand the wait. I have chatted with 4ppl at the sametime and I usually will tell someone that I am chatting so they will know I'm not being a pain on purpose.
June 16, 2010 at 10:32 am #18064LoverParticipantFor me it's part deceny. I don't like it if I have to wait many minutes for an answer. I don't have a problem if someone says, “Sorry, busy” like I do. But if you talk with me please answer. I also don't like to talk to more people at the same time, as I want to concentrate to just one or two persons. I know, there are different meanings about this and I accept. I just say what I think. At least, as they don't give us a better chat system, like a big chat room or anything.
On the other hand I am asking myself, does the other have/feel the same emotional mood you are talking about? I mean, I don't want to talk to others when I am in a special mood with someone.June 16, 2010 at 11:20 am #18065Janine DeeParticipantWell if it's “during sex” then it should have a damn good reason. If it's normal chat there should at least be some sort of explanation, like chatting with multiple people. So really it's the kind of thing circumstances dictate.
June 16, 2010 at 12:11 pm #18066sinnnnParticipantWell doing it while having “sex” is a whole different matter. But I will tell ppl I'm just chatting today an I will let them know if I am talking to more than one person, so if they try to continue to have a conversation with me, they are going to have to deal.
Now I will admit I have done it a few time while in a room. For really good reasons because I refuse to be rude for stupid reasons. I will tell them “Sorry I will brb”. I also had to leave the room because of things, before I go in the room I will tell the person if I have time to play or not. If I warned you that I don't have time to play and you keep asking me, then you suffer.
June 16, 2010 at 12:20 pm #18067Janine DeeParticipantIt's like in my most recent soapbox post. Some just keep hounding and hounding, not seeming to realize or care that sort of thing takes many, if not most people out of the mood.
June 16, 2010 at 2:08 pm #18068BearParticipantIf during sex, well IMO better be a good reason,…but real life does interfere especially if the partner has children. Courtesy dictates that they let you know there is an issue.
In a chat, I try to take it with a grain of salt. Some people do have a number of conversations going, but I would hope that if it has dipped into that more personal or emotional level,…,then again an afk action on the others part should have a good reason and courtesy should have been employed with a reason for the lack of response “brb in 10” doesn't take much effort to type.
In common chat,… can be a reality with the limited chat box employed now.
June 16, 2010 at 8:44 pm #18069AnonymousGuestI don't mind if people do it during chat, but it is nice if they can at least say “brb” to let you know they're leaving.
During sex might be OK depending on where we are and how long they're gone.June 16, 2010 at 11:17 pm #18070Janine DeeParticipantThe brb or something similar is also important because software and/or servers could be glitching. So knowing the silence is intentional keeps you from wondering if you partner just had a system crash and is about to vanish.
June 18, 2010 at 5:03 am #18071AZNLoverVParticipantmore sex, less afk please.
June 18, 2010 at 5:14 am #18072sinnnnParticipantoops, sorry. BRB.
June 18, 2010 at 5:46 am #18073AZNLoverVParticipantoops, sorry. BRB.
You're such a tease! Spanking for you!! *puts sinnnn over lap*
Anyways back ontopic. Seriously – if you afk during the 'good stuff' you better darn well give an explanation!
That's just common courtesy!June 18, 2010 at 6:36 am #18074sinnnnParticipantWell I hate lying an telling the truth makes me seem soooo…. The big reason why I stop is mostly family. My Daddy calls alot(yes I am still a Daddy's little girl at the age of 30something) and I can't ignore his call. Another time I had to cut a convo with Bobby because my cuzz popped up. It just sound so uncool, I rather say a ninja assassin has found me and I must fight to the death, BRB.
So thats what I'll say. -
