I have an idea. SOme of members can make closes themselfs (as in 3D SexVilla) and sell them for A$.
I can do that (have some selfmade clothes in 3DSV). But we need a downloadable example.January 7, 2012 at 10:12 am #15834Hi,
we would like to introduce a new experimental feature. It enables you to create or modify textures for different clothes. The new textures cannot be used to wear and show to other AChat users, it is only an off-line development feature. Our goal is to offer this possibility to see if AChat users are interested in creating new clothes with texture modifications, and if quality works can be done this way. If both answers are 'yes', we intend to create the possibility of posting the best works in the shop, but the exact way is not planned yet. For now we would like to encourage you to try this tool, and post pictures of your work here in the forum.
How does it work?
When you are offline, type in the chat window the word 'tex' and press the 'Send message' button. A new window will be displayed, where you can select different clothes, and save or load the textures of the selected cloth in png format. To edit the saved texture you can choose your own way, we will not suggest specific texture editor and/or method.
To help texture editing here you can find UVW maps for the textures:
Short explanation about height maps:
Height maps are grayscale textures, where the different grays between black and white mean different 'heights' on the surface, giving the possibility to add the illusion of fine geometry structure (-> bumpy surface). Please save the following height maps and try to load them to the cloth textures, you will see how they create the described effect.
height_map_1.png
height_map_2.pngor zipped both together:
After loading the height maps they should appear on the cloth as follows:
If you cannot see this effect that means your video card lacks of required shader functions!
In this case we recommend to get a video card which supports shader model 3.Texture properties
The properties (lighting, reflection) of the textures can be adjusted as described in the following short documentation:
Compensation
the designer, whose work will be accepted and published in the shop will receive the following 'payment':
– A$5000-50000 on the designer's account depending on the complexity of the design
or
– payment in real $ as agreed between the designer and AChat before publishing the design
We will kepp adding information about this new feature according to your questions posted in this topic.
Regards,
tomJanuary 7, 2012 at 1:06 pm #15835sounds interessing.
i had take a quik look, but from what i see, i don't had found a way to select a specific dress. two can be the reason:
1 – the clothes dev team had set are the basic one for all the dress they had create (don't think so!)
2 – this option must be added soon
if i was a little able to use a graphic program, it will be nice to give it a try!
edit:
a request…..give as the chance to create tatto too or work on skin! it will be really interessing! plus, this is a chance to create a personal look…..in future it will be nice if we can modify our personal wardrobe for a little amount or, why not, use it for create a particular giftJanuary 7, 2012 at 5:00 pm #15836I know I'm a technophobe, but let's see if I'm at least capable of grasping the concept.
we go to the Achat log-on page (done that)
in the message box type in “tex” and send it (done that)
a new message box called texture viewer pops up (done that)
out of the choices of clothes, from tops to stockings, I can choose
Save diffuse Load diffuse Reset diffuse
Save normal Load normal Reset normal (tried those)and I then have to find an item of said clothing in png format on my computer to upload?
Please can someone come round and show me what to do, I may be 19, but I feel like 9 when it comes to things like this…..
presumably I can upload a whole personal wardrobe? It sounds fantastic, but I'm not sure I'm capable.January 7, 2012 at 5:05 pm #15837alll correct……i give you an hint: creat a dedicated folder for it, so you know where to look for the text.
i don't have try it yet, but wonder how it will be
