http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d7qW4h25r2EJune 21, 2010 at 1:03 pm #17330Another great band in the 80s was OMD. Though I don't know if they are well known outside from europe.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DC-nmyVEmRw&feature=relatedAnd respect to Madonna. I don't like all of her, especially the new ones are not for me, but she started in the 80s and is still on top. Did you ever see Tina Turner live? Wow. Both ladies show what you can reach if you work hard, if you have faith to your abilities and if you love what you are doing.
June 21, 2010 at 3:54 pm #17331Lover, Tina is the Queen.
June 21, 2010 at 7:28 pm #17332Absolutely right on both Ladies. Tina can still strut her stuff against anyone out there. And there is no disputing Madonna'a skills and passion either.
June 23, 2010 at 12:40 am #17333A favorite band of mine, from the same area I live in. My Morning Jacket
June 24, 2010 at 8:20 pm #17334A band, that never had an offical breakup: ABBA
I love the music and can listen to it again and again. Even after the 1000 times the music still is freshJune 24, 2010 at 8:56 pm #17335Ummm if we've went back past the 80's to the 70's I'd like some warning so I can find a good place to hide.
June 24, 2010 at 9:13 pm #17336I will hurry up trough the 70's to come to the 60's… til we reach the 30's
OK, a man who has been part of all decades: Bruce Springsteen. There is just one Boss and he always will be the one. Tough as German I have to read his lyrics to understand him, lol.
And I like a lot of songs of Bon Jovi.
June 25, 2010 at 2:12 am #17337Nirvana. Thats all I have to say.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkcJEvMcnEgLike this song plus the anime.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWVToIFzlc4&feature=relatedJune 25, 2010 at 7:49 am #17338Wait We can post AMV's?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bOqXp5oYk_w&feature=related
The visible difference in animation is because they did a “Hellsing” anime which was quite good, but the manga's author saw it and said it needed to be redone, and it's the amazing “Hellsing Ultimate”
The band is Lordi, and they rock both there and in this AMV.

I'm thinking of seeing if I can contract the song “Had Rock Hallelujah” for my theme music, not ring tone, theme music.
And one for those still stuck in the 80's.
June 25, 2010 at 9:02 am #17339Yeah Janine, Mr. Robot from Styx. I loved this song in the 80s. They had another big hit “Boat On The River”. If you compare this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rRvSwKCCPY with Mr. Roboto http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cShYbLkhBc&feature=related you can't believe it's the same band.
Ironically Mr. Roboto was a big disco hit with more than 1000000 single sellers, it was the beginning of the end of them.Lordi is a band from Finland, they won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006. Big surprise! The first time a hard-rock band with strange masks took part and won.
June 25, 2010 at 4:16 pm #17340Actually, I can't remember where I saw that about Lordi, but I did see that… for me I saw that Demons and Angels AMV and LOVED the song… so I did some looking into the band behind it, and yes I've heard some of Styx's other stuff and wondered how they could be the band behind Mr. Roboto.
June 25, 2010 at 5:42 pm #17341Styx was a band with a widely varied talent base, whose members all contributed to material. Though most often DeYoung had control over their material over the years. Dennis DeYoung and Tommy Shaw both found moderate success as Solo artists after Styx. . Dennis DeYoung's Desert Moon is an example of his personal success. Tommy Shaw had Girls with guns. James Young did not ackieve much success on his own. Like you, I still have to wonder where Mr. Roboto came from.Actually it was part of an Operatic Rock Concept album Still, How do you go from Sail Away to this? Tommy Shaw later went on to be part of the super group Damn Yankees.
June 25, 2010 at 9:03 pm #17342I love Hellsing, the new version is just awesome crazy. They should have used the new one for this song. Thanks J.

Heres another one for you to check out anime chic. Song is sweet.
You also have to admit Marilyn Masons, Sweet Dreams is the song. If you can handle anime/manga check it out. If not DON'T.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzCz_DgFBvg&feature=relatedJune 25, 2010 at 10:37 pm #17343I haven't seen Berserk, but the one who got me hooked on anime (To those who aren't into anime if a anime fan ever says “Just borrow this one, take it home and see what you think.” run away it's the same thing as “The first one's free.” from a dealer.) said it's awesome right up to the last ep, and then it basically destroys it's own storyline with an insensible end.
