It was Flo who suggested the (?) button.
No, that was decided during a 3 night long AChat development “what to do next” discussion
So, that was not Flo, just a quick idea to add a small useful feature. At least as much as I know.
Regards,
tom
Another suggestion about the chat system : it would be fine to have the possibility to access directly on the profile of someone when he sends you a message. It's only possible when you receive an invitation, but when someone comes to talk to you in the chat box, you have to do the research by yourself…You see what I mean ? …
Quoting Florent from page 2 of my “suggestions” thread

When someone's name is selected in the chat box, there is the “?” button next to “send message”
September 9, 2009 at 1:55 pm #10409AnonymousLeo,
I know it's possible. That's not my point. I'm saying that one of the members made a suggestion to make that button.
Who made it/thought of it first is still up for debateSeptember 14, 2009 at 7:02 pm #10410Leo,

Who made it/thought of it first is still up for debate 😉hmmm…. sorry… maybe that was not my idea, just I wanted to believe, that I can create useful things ;D
I will try to remember where good ideas come from :tom

October 23, 2009 at 12:00 am #10412Himmi,

How many users have you on the list?
tomOctober 27, 2009 at 1:29 pm #10414after login 45 – (but must be much more like 60 or 70)
October 28, 2009 at 12:38 am #10415In a lot of cases, wouldnt a lot of hassle be stopped by just saying 'not interested' or 'sorry, not now' to someone rather than ignoring til the need to block someone arises?
or are some users more demanding and forceful than i give credit for?

you have no idea how demanding this guys sometimes are. Many just dont accept a no and can bei quite nasty when told to leave. Sometimes its a fun to play games with this guys. So I let them go on for a little and answer than in their way. But often you are not in the mood to play this little games or are in the middle of a chat when this guys start spamming your window.I would never ignore someone who ist asking me, even repeatedly.
Just one example: I once said no to an really annoying, rude and stupid guy (“he hun, wanna fuck your ass” as an introduction together with a random invitation). He than went berserk. Calling me a bitch was the nicest thing he did. But than he was not only spamming my chat window, but also my invitation window, by repeatedly (i counted more than 25 attemps in a short time) inviting me, till I finally ignored hin.
This was an very rude guy but there are many others that are nearly as annoying.
October 28, 2009 at 12:30 pm #10417wow, i didnt realise that. pity there isnt an option to ban them from the internet completely, not just an ignore option. then again, they arent men, they are merely petulant boys.

hmmm… as much as I can see the ignore list can contain as many persons as you will… where can you see this limit '45' exactly?
