Clear enough Billy…there are many strange ppl here…(though I may find myself included myself in that category)
I actually got put on an ignore list for not responding quick enough to a hello and invite while I was busy trying to type a message to another party. tried to respond 90 seconds later but alas…
Use the ignore rarely…mostly on those who are pestering me by trying to sell their services…would like to see a “Busy” or “AFK” button available to highlight my attention elsewhere, not that it should block messages…but rather relieve the burden of constantly changing my banner to show I am involved (which I might forget to do)
As to cold invites, prefer not to and state so clearly…but I sometimes accept…if nothing else for the occasional bizarre experience I have sometimes run into…and sometimes, though rarely…one who when kissed does turn out to be someone special and gifted.
May 26, 2010 at 8:53 pm #10438sinnnnParticipantI love the ignore list, I have said it many times. I agree with Bear about the “Busy” button, because I have had many ppl ignore my comment that I am busy. I get insults because I don't reply, even though I have said I am busy. Anyway I wanted to know if anyone notice that the ignore list refreshes itself from time to time. I get ppl I know I put on that list sending me messages and when I go check my list its been cleared out. And their is nothing wrg with strange ppl, hell I think I am insane, its the rude nasty ass ppl I have a problem with. Strange can be good.
May 27, 2010 at 2:39 am #10439AnonymousGuestI've never had my ignore list refresh itself sinnn. Well, not totally true. I did uninstall AChat once and that wiped out the list. But other than that it has never happened.
Maybe because your list is so full it happens? And do you really recall all the people that you have put on the list?May 27, 2010 at 4:37 am #10440sinnnnParticipantI am a women and we forget nothing. I remember the worst ones babe.
May 27, 2010 at 5:59 am #10441BearParticipantBobbler,…if you had ever been married you would know…they NEVER forget…
May 28, 2010 at 11:02 am #10442LoverParticipantBear, if somebody puts you to the ignore list, only as you didn't answer quick enough, say thank you. This person is not worth to spend one minute. So you didn't waste your time.
And women do not know everything, but everything they do know they won't forgetMay 28, 2010 at 4:02 pm #10443sinnnnParticipantFear our memories. So true Bear, we remember so we can throw it in your face later on in the future. it could be twenty years later and you think all is forgotten. Its not. We do know everything Lover. LOL
But Lover is right Bear, they are not worth it if they ignore for such a immature reason. ;D
May 28, 2010 at 11:46 pm #10444BearParticipantLOL,…totally agree, just had to share that story…
May 29, 2010 at 1:25 am #10445AnonymousGuestWomen never forget?
lmao
May 30, 2010 at 2:00 pm #10446CarliParticipantThe ignore list is a feature that has saved my day repeatedly already, and I'm just starting out
It's one of the first things I explain to new girls, and they all thank me for it. I cannot speak for other girls, but for me it's one of the things that gave me confidence enough to really go for it here at AChat. It's currently the only way to deal with cold invites (which I hate), but a highly effective one

:-*June 17, 2010 at 12:16 am #10449Janine DeeParticipantCheck your ignore list people. Mine's been pared down to 8 entries.
June 21, 2010 at 12:08 am #10000AnonymousGuestfor those of you who are unaware of this (probably 99% of you), LIS was the one to really *push* to get the ignore button implemented, along with a few others of us who got on the bandwagon
June 21, 2010 at 2:10 am #10001sinnnnParticipantI love the ignore/block button. I don’t try to be rude but when I do break down an say Hi, I’ll explain that I am busy an I just wanted to return their greeting. Then the greeting turns into an invite after I already told them I am busy. When I explain again that I am busy, they ask,”How bout later?” Their definition of late is 5mins later. Or they will keep trying to chat when I already told them I am chatting with someone else. They make being rude an ignoring greetins look so good. I had one lady that sent me six invites after I told her no, an declined every1. I have even received some nasty little comments when I turned down some offers. I love the ignore button, it brings back the fun for me. If it wasn’t for that, the constant cold invites, insults, an harrassments would have made me leave. This is suppose to be fun.
Now as for the Karma system I have one little problem with that. You have some ppl who can be vendictive when their invites are declined or mad because their greeting was not returned. If you are going to do something like that, I think the accused should be able to have a right to defend themselves. I pay real money for my A$ an I would be really ticked off because my A$ was reduced by some vendictive immature little minded person, to the point where I would come back to Achat.
thanks again for the button. ;D
