I'm running a custom/modified Blackberry Playbook Tablet OS 2.0 It's not the run of the mill kind you can buy in stores. This one I had made by one of Blackberry's suppliers under their licence. I had it made with some very specific criteria which includes a 14″ screen. Sorry, because it's under licence and they consider it a BETA test hardware product, I'm not allowed to comment further, but who knows! It could be available soon.

With Microsoft making their Windows 8 Release Preview, the operating system is solely geared towards the playbook and tablet market. I have this installed on a newer custom built desktop… But it comes at a cost, the build approached $2500.00 Canadian just for the hardware.
While this machine packs a whollop, with 32 Gig of memory, and a quad core dual socket main board with twin 3.8GHz processors, it is doubtful that any tablet will be approaching this level of speed, strength and performance anytime soon… but then again innovation always follows when new operating systems are released.

Az.October 1, 2012 at 5:03 pm #48984LoverParticipantAny news? Did anybody try it on a galaxy tablet?
December 1, 2012 at 4:47 pm #48985Rui_MarquesParticipantCydia can open new horizon for ipad developing no need for app store no more and there is the badoink ipad app wich is porn youtube app checkout http://ipad.badoink.com/. Everything is possible…
Android has its own porn store it could be even easier.December 29, 2012 at 7:29 pm #77655apollo13nutParticipantThere was already a discussion on this. First of all, Apple would never allow such an app. Second, there are ways to play the game on an iPad. There is a remote desktop system called LogMeIn that you can load on a desktop and then load on your iPad. Basically, your iPad becomes a remote control, but you can still play the game with it. Another option would OnLive Desktop, but the required service plan is still not being offered. For $10/mo (yes, it's a subscription), you get a Windows 7 computer that loads optimized for iPad, and you can add your own apps. But OnLive still does not offer that plan (says “Coming Soon” but has said that for over a year).
One last option would be Windows 8. Since Windows 8 is designed for touchscreens/tablets, perhaps install AChat on a Windows 8 laptop/tablet hybrid. Unfortunately, from what I've seen (but not sure since I don't own one) AChat cannot be installed on the RT tablets such as Microsoft Surface because there is no desktop, only the metro interface.

January 6, 2013 at 4:08 am #77657apollo13nutParticipantWhile I know this thread is specifically about the Apple iPad, I know there are several threads about tablets in general. One option that will be available soon would be the Intel Microsoft Surface Pro (Runs FULL Windows 8 Pro) which will allow the installation of desktop apps, such as AChat. The Surface Pro is available in a 64GB ($899.99 MSRP) and a 128GB model ($999.99 MSRP)…both come with a type cover (black only) and a pen.
Another option along the same lines would be find Windows “slate” tablets that run full versions of Windows 7 and upgrade them to Windows 8 (if it runs 7, it will run
8). An example of a “slate” is the HP Slate and HP Slate 2. Used HP Slate tablets can be found on eBay for under $400…If you want a Windows Tablet, it MUST have an Intel processor and run Windows 8 Pro…Windows 8 RT WILL NOT RUN ACHAT!!!
January 6, 2013 at 4:31 am #77658KingdustinParticipantthats an interesting idea, but i would prefer a hands free A chat. how about voice controlled lol.
June 30, 2013 at 10:03 am #6493DaveohParticipantJust wondering if there were any plans to take a chat to the realm of I pad ?
July 1, 2013 at 5:32 pm #98473LoverParticipantAs we know there are no plans for this. You can use AChat on your ipad, but just with software like team speaker – AChat is running on your comp and you have access using your tablet.
We talked about the idea, just having the chat function but never get an answer. I think it's not part of their to do list, as it would be just another messenger.
