I can't fucking believe it. Here everyone was expecting a close, well contested game and instead we get this dud. I knew this was gonna be a laugher' once I saw the bad snap on the very FIRST play of the game.

While watching the final Brandy called me. Told me about the bet and that it seems I will dance and strip soon… I was surprised as i didnt know we have a bet but im always in for that. While talking to her i still had hope to win but with each minute passing by it was more and more a fiasco.
“Ok Brandy, you have won. It was more a catch you did (together with stone of course…two sweet witches on their chase) but i accept i lost. Im happy for you and really happy for myself. I always dreamed of another strip since we did ladies night in bar years ago!” I smile but inside im grumbling. I wouldnt be Lover, if i not had something in my mind already. Thingking to myseld “Ok Brandy, you won this fight but the war aint over”

I call tango and jayc. “The girls trapped us. They will get their payback for sure. Just now we will do the best dance ever. I know were all in great shape but should be well prepared. Lets meet soon secretly.”

                UK Floods

Some of you may have heard by now that the UK is being hit with floods and storms. Homes are flooded, people evacuated, villages cut off and still more rain and wind is forecast.

I was talking to some members about the devastation. As usual the good old British spirit is pulling through and people pooling together to help. Our emergency services and military are working alongside the locals to help where they can.

What’s causing England’s floods at the moment?

A combination of heavy rain, bitter storms, and coastal surges. Met Office figures show that January and December combined were the wettest since records began in 1910.

What are the different types of flooding?

                • Tidal flooding comes from the sea and tidal rivers.

                • Fluvial flooding from rivers bursting their banks or overflowing

                • Groundwater flooding happens when the earth is saturated and can hold no more water

                • Flash flooding is usually at its worst when drainage systems in urban areas are overwhelmed by sudden heavy rainfall, often worsened by the concreting over of large areas of soil and gardens that would otherwise have helped to absorb the water

As the government’s Centre for Ecology and Hydrology notes, “the full gamut of flood manifestations – tidal, pluvial (flash), fluvial and groundwater – has been experienced over the last eight weeks.

Im following the news as I know some of our members are from England.  I hope they all are safe, but of course also think about all concerned people. It reminds me of the big flood we had in germany last year and I hope it will be over soon.

Its not just injuries and damages, but also many little things which are lost forever. Wishing everyone the best.

As someone who experienced Hurricane Sandy over here in New Jersey back in 2012, I can tell ya' facing these floods (we faced groundwater flooding) is no picnic. I wish my English friends the best. I know you won't allow this to dampen your spirits. Chin up, and Godspeed.8)

I can sympatice with the victims, lets all hope and pray it will be over soon.

Thanks guys for all your well wishes. We are still getting the extreme weather with floods and storms.  The South of the country has been hit the worst with properties being under water for weeks now.

I have been lucky, living on a hill but I have suffered wind damage with fences and brickwork needing to be replaced or repaired.

I feel for the farmlands. Farmers will suffer the loss of crops and incomes and of course, they are last on the list for flood defences with help going to the towns as priority.

The cost of living here is bound to go up in this aftermath.

@ Stone,  love the Swan pics,  inspecting new territory.

Roll on summer,  we need to dry out  ;D ;D

                              First openly Gay Athlete U.S

I just wanted to take the time to post here a little sports news. To those who may not have heard, yesterday was a momentous day for American sports, and what I believe the (U.S) country as a whole. Jason Collins became the first openly gay athlete ever in America’s four major professional sports when he signed to play for the Brooklyn Nets. I for one welcome this day, and hope that he will help open the doors for other gay athletes to join the other major American sports.
Of course, there are some (including some co-workers of mines) who feel his presence will distract the team. That his presence will somehow send the message of weakness to opponents who view homosexuality as lacking in competitive fierceness in comparison to a heterosexual male athlete. To those who have such antiquated, rustic views I can only pray that watching this guy play on the court will slowly change their hearts concerning gay athletes. Much luck to you Jason Collins.

Oh, and the Brooklyn Nets was formerly a New Jersey team. We’re still taking credit for this achievement! ;D

When we think about gay sportler, its obvious there have to be many. Though we say, were a world of tolerance, its still risky to out themselves. In germany, an ex- national player of the german football (soccer) team did his outing last year. But no active player ever did.

I appreciate each one doing it. Also i hope, many more will follow Jason Collins and the Brooklyn Nets

I just want to say this about that…

                                  I don't care! I don't need to know!

It's his business, no one elses.  And wouldn't the world be a better place if we all stopped making judgments about things that don't concern us?

((steps off the soap box and wanders back into the crowd))
