I agree in a way jondas. And as long as they don't bash others with it. Live and let live and all that silly stuff. But she is using it as a personal offense on anyone she chooses. Being why she has it all over her profile as a kind of up your nose with a rubber hose deal lol.
And be careful about that whole “however the game offers among other things the chance for players to reflect their fantasies.” line. I am sure if it was not a fantasy about god and being a would be saint, but rather being a little boy serving a dirty priest, you would not be saying that, no?
All goes on how things are used and how far you let people go with things while hiding it as “fantasy” or any other such thing.
Anyone that talks to her will clearly see she is using it as a way to harrass people.
I find a lot of it all to be silly, I poke my nose in where people don't want me to. Even more so when there is so much hot air being blown around. I find it interesting, makes me laugh, and I learn a bit more about people. I piss people off, very easy, often. Even though by all means I am not truly trying to do so. How ever so many run around with their butt holes puckered up full time, and all that hot air just builds.
Thought maybe someone who has the option could burst that bubble so the poor girl could breath. Maybe she would step back and rethink things and have fun. Rather then trying to cause more problems.
January 13, 2014 at 10:31 am #102476But what the problem is? You do not like her, you ignore her. I do not like way too many people here in Achat, and most of them end up in my blacklist. What makes her so different to others? The religion? But than again, you do not like it, you ignore it. As far as i can tell, all that 'tolerance' hype the consumer society has do not work towards religion. People can tolerate the most twisted perversions, but when it comes to religion, the tolerance is forgotten. Why?
January 13, 2014 at 1:05 pm #102477Good lordy it's amazing how people read right past the point and into a whole different area. Nexe as explained many times now, it is not the religious crap that is the point. It is the way she used it and is using it. Be religious, knock your goofy socks off! But don't twist it in ways to hide behind it and mock others! That is the point here.
And yes you sure could ignore them, we all have that handy button huh? Oh but wait, when one of the many MANY ass holes out there comes at you for what ever crazy reason or no reason at all do you know it's coming ahead of time?? Not likely!
So what happens 9 times out of 10?? They bash you with what ever smart ass crap then instantly hide behind that ignore button!! Kinda like this woman is hiding behind religion. So they can say anything they want to you and not have to worry about getting their foot stuck in their throat!!
Yes! The reality of it all lmao! People who make trouble are the ones that know how to abuse the system in their crappy favor folks. Live and learn!
Now this is done, over, not able to be helped out in any way. I asked a simple question, always a stupid thing to do yes. But hey I like to stick my nose in, I like to ruffle feathers. I like to bring out in the open things I know darn well and good many other people are sick of having to deal with all the silly time. So there you have it.
January 13, 2014 at 1:32 pm #102478*smells the air*
I like the smell of religious topics in the morning.
If the person in question is promoting God in a way that is blatantly meant to be taken as an insult and offend people of a certain religion, then yes I would agree with Vaelene that what she's doing is in poor taste. If the person is heartfelt about her beliefs and is merely shoving them down your throats then you're entitled to your opinion, that she chose the wrong, inappropriate venue to promote said beliefs. (of course, you can even make an argument to support her methods if you really wanted.) The former case warrants some sort of action. Maybe. (depends on the severity of the insults)
The later I would say doesn't. Maybe it seems misguided. Zealous. Annoying. But like Nexe said, you can just ignore them. I agree with you Vaelene that not everything should be categorized as a 'unique fantasy'' that must be respected and left alone. However, just to play devils advocate, people have depictions of Angels, next to naked character images performing 'sexually enticing' animations. There are some who view Angels as holy religiously imbued figures and would likely be horribly offended to see such divine images be associated with sexually perverse material. Still, you see em' anyway. It's become accepted. Just all depends on your views and how you argue them.P.S Up your nose with a rubber hose
Had to provide an image.
January 13, 2014 at 2:42 pm #102479Good lordy it's amazing how people read right past the point and into a whole different area. Nexe as explained many times now, it is not the religious crap that is the point. It is the way she used it and is using it. Be religious, knock your goofy socks off! But don't twist it in ways to hide behind it and mock others! That is the point here.
If that's the point, than we need to ban about 95% of achat people. Just because they all do what you say – they hide behind it and mock others. Yes. They do. Especially here in Achat, as the game attracts many insecure persons.
The question is – why it all called 'tolerance' when they mock you with the crap other than religion? Do not bother to answer, that's a rhetorical question
January 13, 2014 at 7:00 pm #102480I love that so many of you try to get the last word in, even if your leaving the point of the topic totally behind and making it your own thing.
Drama like this puts a smile on my face, and net egos are always fun to watch play out. In fact I think watching them all is giving me one too and that is not good at all.
It was my mistake to ask a simple question here this is very VERY clear. As so many of you are waiting to pounce on anything, twist it around, and make it your own to play know it all.
So I ask that you all calm down, shhhhhh, breath. . .In. . .Out. . Picture the calm blue ocean. . . . Wait, there is nothing calm about a huge body of water that can destroy and swallow cities whole! Bad choice on my part.
This has blown way out of proportion, it is not a debate, it was not singly targeted at if religion is good or bad or tolerated, or if fake made up beings should be posed in art being fucked like dirty whores the same as anything else.
I asked a simple question, the mods gave me a simple answer. I got lost in trying to explain the simple point, as others took the bits they wanted and blew it up into their own slogan.
So again I ask relax, shhhhhhhhhh. . .Breath in. . . Let it out. . . .Repeat. . . .Leave the killer ocean out of it this time. . . .And all is well. . .
January 13, 2014 at 10:01 pm #102481Bah. I should've known better then to dip my foot inside religiously tainted waters. Never a good idea.
As a friend I admit my folly. I should've reviewed your posts a little more carefully, instead of skimming over them and relying on other posts to provide me with the narrative. Apologies again, and hugs.
Also, speaking for myself I'm always cool. Joe cool.
January 13, 2014 at 10:17 pm #102482Ah, Vaelene… the only person who is outraged here is you. No need to use red bold letters… no need to be so agressive Why do you react so hysterical? You started it here, and you didn't give any clues about that 'religious' woman you accusing of… well, of something, as i cannot really get what's her fault at all. Right now i doubt it was even her who attacked you. Judging by your overreaction, it was probably you who attacked her just because she mentioned something religious. So, calm down, there're no need to use red bold font, and, you know, using foul words won't make you to sound intelligent or mature Take your own advice and let others live as they want, if they want to be religious and to like sex, let them be.
In christian history there were some sects which never saw any contradiction there. Of course, they were heretics by Catholic church standarts, but still, they believed in God and had very… free sex lives No need to overreact here
January 13, 2014 at 10:41 pm #102483Nexe, see again you take things and twist them to your needs. I used the bold red text as I just figured out how to use it and the colours. hukk gets to use pretty colours “sniff sniff” why can't I? But my little love muffin Nexe you will read into things as you wish. Being why you have attacked me from the start and still are.
And look at that in your own words, you don't even know what I was talking about in the first place. You said it yourself twinkle cheeks. Did anyone else catch that in Nexe's last post there?
I'm not going to go over it again as you clearly are not paying attention to things any way. So how about before you go assuming a bunch of stuff and jumping down others throats. While trying to act like a know it all, you be sure to at least understand what is going on first.
Let there be light! Hallelujah praise the lord!
Off topic I am still giggling at that forehead slapping animated pic you put up hukk lol. That is what I catch myself doing at every post Nexe has thrown at me.
Though with the spelling and wording could it be Nexe does not clearly understand English when written out and that is where the communication loss is happening? If so Nexe I will say I am sorry for any misunderstanding that might of caused.
January 13, 2014 at 11:17 pm #102484ok, i ask everyone to stop any assumptions and sentences like “why do you react hysterial” and “while trying to act like a know it all”.
This topic is free for discussion, but with arguments not with affronts. If you go on, we either edit your posts or lock this topic. We have checked the profile of the user Vaelene is talking about – there are no violations of TOS. We cant do anything against her profile. This is the answer to your question. If somebody has proofs, she is insulting other members, of course you can send to us or to support.
Vaelene, indeed your red words seem to be aggressive. I dont say you mean it, but its the effect we get. Its not helpful for a friendly mood and discussion.
Religion always is delicate. Politics and religion is hard to discuss lol. Were here for fun mainly – everybody should keep this in mind. If you are offended, its your right to do something. If you just dont like an user or a profile, ignore (which doesnt mean you have to put him/her on ignore).
January 14, 2014 at 1:11 am #102485Ok how about blue? Is that safe enough for everyone? May I use blue? Slammed for liking the color red. Look, I even took the bold off it, how dare I mess with options and try to have fun with my fonts on here. Oh crap I did just use red on my other topics though, granted it's just for poses and my little goofy corner thing. So should not be taken as me being mad I hope.
And Lover I had said more then once that you mods had answered my question and it was done. I swear I did, how ever the flames just kept being tossed at me. And I'm not one to roll over and play dead while being trampled. Though that being said I really do feel there is a communication gap going on. And in saying that I did say sorry if that was the case, and did not do it in a smart ass way.
This was all my fault how ever I can see that. I should not of asked anything about it here at all. I'm new to forums I'll learn. Though I can see why so many will chat openly in the game, yet never bring it to the forum. No matter what it might be.
Now I did just open a topic about adding some new group poses, so going to go take that down. Sure that will simply invite more trouble here. And I might as well take my little corner thing down too. I am sure that one is totally asking for trouble.
January 14, 2014 at 7:16 am #102486
Blue is a nice COOL color……….I read your post properly Vaelene and I got what you were trying to say and I think maybe some of the other posters should have gone and had a look to see what this person was doing before sounding off at you?
Anyways, I know that you never intended this to flare up into an argument between forum posters, you even said so early on.I would post stuff about not flaring like it was an MSN “news” post, but I have taken stands on serious issues before now, so maybe not.
Please don't stop your info & observations, I like them. This forum is where we chat openly, let's never change that!If you are going to stomp off & sulk, I will meet you in the Ice Palace to “discuss” it, ok!
January 14, 2014 at 9:13 am #102487Vaelene, as you had probably notice around here and there in the forum, there are people who are using colours in their text, as Tango who usually write them in yellow and it can be nice and plus it make an user immidiately recognizable (is it the right word!? mah!), so if you use red or blue, it's not a problem, but maybe the bold make it look a bit strange, that's all!
and girl…..i know what you mean with the religious thing, you want to point to the fact she's using it as a “shield” to hide her true self (and maybe had fun of others!? mah!)…..but at last, in my opinion, the whole internet thing is a big shield who hide and protect us (even if it can happen there are people who are not afraid to reveal their true self) and if it happen on the whole net, it's normal it happen on AChat too! now…..i'm just making a mere supposition cause i don't know what her goal is and when i check her profile, there was no trace of the “God thing” on it.
Ok so I am not sure if this is against any of the game rules, but it is still in pretty bad taste so thought I'd ask.
There is a woman on AChat that always has God plastered all over her profile while her avatar stands around topless with sexual pictures in her little avatar spot. You know normal stuff for AChat but mixing all the God stuff with porn and sex is in pretty bad taste I have to say. And I don't even believe in God lol.
Is there any way to get her to stop the God stuff? I tried talking to her but she just used her God to preach down to me for asking and ignored me lol.
This was your first post and honestly i don't see anything strange in it, just a normal request and i will answer now for as it is: i agree with you, for some who really trust in God (no metter the one you believe, anyone is free to choose it) it can be unpleasent (and there are some who can be even offended by this) mixing Him with porn but, till she don't break any TOS, i don't think it will be easy to make her remove it, so all you (or others) can do is to ignore her (not putting on ignore, but simply avoiding her) and look for different partner.
The net is a gian place, with different kind of users…..it's normal jump into someone we daon't agree or like: the good thing is we can avoid them easily then in real life ones we found them. don't let them ruin your experience here, try to find the nice side oof AChat and enjoy it!
January 14, 2014 at 9:20 am #102488Valene, do what you expect other do too – read careful. My post was to everyone and I used examples of you and Nexe. Its not the discussion i had to stop, but personal insults and assumptions. We can, we may and we want to talk about everything, but its the tone which is making music.
I didnt slam you for liking red. Just together with some words you used it sounded aggressive – im sure you know what i meant, youre a smart girl
When i said we checked the profil of this member and cant do anything, it was an info for everyone, as my post was for everyone too. Its important for further discussions.
Youre right, there was a gap in communication. But the way this thread moved was not helpful to close this gap. You wanted to talk about the way she is using her profile and god-sight to blame and to offend other members and it changed to a discussion about religion and ignore-function. Im sure this wasnt your intention, am i right?
As i also told you, this is one discussion and has nothing in common with all your other posts and topics. I absolutely dont see a reason for removing these ones. I also dont want to talk about fault – were talking about opinions and as well as you evrybody has its on opinion and is allowed to tell it. Its not fault, just different truths. Different vies about something. This is what each forum makes alive. This is what we need and want.
January 14, 2014 at 4:11 pm #102489Insulting anyone’s God is in bad taste and offensive but the reason it is done is to provoke a reaction and attract attention.
Many members use such tactics of religion, politics and taboo subjects to gauge a reaction. Some revel in the negative reaction caused.
They also use such tactics to make themselves known and “famous”It is up to you on whether they are successful are not.
Personally, I don’t really care if they employ such tactics, as long as it is not against TOS. Maybe they attract likeminded persons. Good – then it means other members are left alone.
If a profile offends, and not against TOS, then don’t engage. You decide on whether it is ignored by passing over to the next profile or whether you use the magic ignore button.
If they shove their views down your throat, then you can complain to the Moderators or Support direct, along with a copy of your chat log.
Of course, if the conversation is a heated debate, then sometimes you need to step back and ask yourself some hard questions first before reporting it –
“Did I start it?” “Did I give as good as I got?” “Did I over react in the first contact?” “Was I just as insultive?”If you come out of it as bad as the person you are having the debate / argument with – then it may be best to put it down to experience and use the ignore facility or maybe even apologise and start again.
Forum is public and not general chat. Members are always encouraged to post their ideas and views and we encourage such free speech. Some members may agree with you , some may not and as long as the post is reasoned and evidenced on such views, it is for entertaining and enjoyable reading.
The Mods, and other members too, do and will step in if it begins to degenerate into a personal slinging match or in general sweeping statements insulting forum members, or if it starts to go off topic. It may even start a new interesting topic.
It is also important to remember that the word “you” can be used as singular and plural and third party in the English language. Read it all ways first as it may give the text a different context and may not actually be directed personally to the original poster.
Having read, this topic several times it was beginning to degenerate and I commend the people who posted to soothe matters.
Everyone has a right to post and everyone has a right to express their views. We encourage such debates, heated or not and the right of free speech. Sometimes though, we also have to accept, some people have strong opposing views, and some have no specific feelings either way. No one is right or wrong , just unique and individual.
Rightly so, my fellow Moderators have stepped in to calm things before the topic gets out of control and silly.
The advantage we have here, we are all over 18 and adults at the end of the day. Something other forums don’t always have and I think the carnage seen in those forums is evident in themselves.
We don’t want that to happen here.
@ Vaelene, you started an interesting debate – to me that makes for an interesting read and stirs people’s passions. I actually think that is very good and stimulating. A breath of fresh air and therefore a successful topic for debate, whether you meant to or not.
Do I think you could have worded things less robustly in parts? – Of course.
Do I think there are veiled insults towards members?– Of course.
Wasn’t that exactly your intention? – I think so.
Is that a reason to remove your other posts/ topics? – Absolutely not.Just be prepared if you are insulting whether directly or veiled, you will be moderated like everyone else.
And on that note and your command of the English language — have you ever thought of entering the Erotic Story Contest? The prizes are good and I have a feeling it would be a very interesting tale.
See the Contests and Erotic Story Contest 6 – Medieval for details. Deadline is 31 Jan 2014.**** The users name has been removed from the title of this topic to prevent any embarrassment by subsequent posts *****
