I’m a little concerned about this new update. Not about how it will look but, what we get at day one.
With all these new clothing designs coming at once, I’m getting a little suspicious of what might happen. It seems to me that a lot of user designs have been added over the last few updates. Six in one update and seven in another. Ok, they were just different colours of the same design, but I’ve never seen this all the time I’ve been a member. (2015). Here comes the part were you say I’m paranoid or thinking too much about it.
It looks like, to me anyway, that designs are been pushed out quickly, is this because they are incompatible with the upcoming new update or when the new update arrives, so we all start from scratch with hardly any clothing and poses to choose from ? The website states that the new update will have a reduced content & feature set, which will be enhanced regularly. “Reduced Content and Feature set.” Once I read this, alarm bells triggered. What does this really mean ? We are told nothing only what it will look like in those six photos on the website. At day one will all clothing, poses, rooms, etc be included ? If not what will be included ?
Other concerns are about the account we have now. Will our accounts be forwarded into the new update ? Will the A$ be also forwarded ? Or, again are we expected to start as new ?
As of now, I have only 42 days left on my Premium. If I renew will this transfer to Achat Next ? (That’s what it’s been called by the way). I don’t want to pay and then pay again for Achat Next.
These are my concerns. Maybe I’m just going crazy or having a huge conspiracy melt down.
April 30, 2022 at 8:53 pm #198578Hi Zuz,
Thank you for voicing your concerns.
I am sure many are apprehensive about their accounts especially when a lot of time and money has been invested into their avatars.
I have forwarded the link to this topic to Achat and asked that they address your concerns to put members minds at rest.April 30, 2022 at 9:42 pm #198579Zuz I share your concerns and have considered the possibility of holding off on paying for premium again till the new update is released. I too have 40 plus days left. We signed up for a year anticipating the update in January. Now it is May. We have already paid for all of our poses and clothes and they should smoothly transfer over. If they do not then all deserve a refund so we can buy new versions. We have all been patient for the last 5 months. We deserve more information at this point. I hope AChat answers soon Vaughan.
May 1, 2022 at 3:40 am #198583Has there been some sort of development in the last few days Jessie and Zuzannah, I would like to think Achat is finding the new update a technical challenge to make old stuff work with the new stuff and as such will Trust Achat to do the right thing or risk loosing it’s massive fan base namely us, I think we can expect initial glitches and this is to be expected and tolerated, vast changes simply won’t be accepted and Achat will fold, let’s hope I am NOT right on the last bit, I am optimistic a bright future exists for all of us 😘
May 1, 2022 at 4:44 am #198584I also have the same doubts as Zuzannah. Communication is one of Achat’s many weaknesses. Their answers are always thin and vague when they deign to answer.
I find this a great lack of respect towards users. As a designer I am also worried about clothes, in fact, I stopped drawing precisely because I don’t know if the impact will also be for the mesh.
It would hate to see the work done modified or made to disappear due to incompatibility, but on the other hand it would be better if the new meshes (if ever they should be implemented) were with far fewer bugs than the current ones. In February they wrote on the website that they were 90% ready and only a few weeks away.
I really hope for everyone that the update is something profoundly new not only graphically but also from social interaction. Users are decreasing and this is leading to a slow death of the game in favor of other more modern and complete platforms. It depends on them whether to decree the end of Achat or its rebirth, starting above all to listen to the suggestions of those who live this game and not isolating themselves in their ivory tower.
May 3, 2022 at 3:05 am #198601Couldn’t agree more Bree, who are these guys at Achat Support, they really should be more interactive and simply chat to us like Gismo does in a limited fashion on another well known Game. For reasons you have mentioned the technical challenges of making our much loved wardrobes work in a new game must be so so hard. I trust and believe the ultimately they will deliver the promised update we all long for
