Hi, I hope I wont start another rough discussion :-[
As You know to became forum member You must be Prem. I wonder if there is possibility to give a chance to poor but brilliant persons. I know that 200A$ its not too much, but for some of them it is sometimes a lot. How we can help them? Giving money – it sometimes embarrassing. I thought rather about different possibility. Three possitive opinion from forum users should give them possibility to register. It is not so easy to get this…trust me : 🙂
All this above has no sense if Forum is kind of Exclussive Club, but You think that 200 A$ make it exclussive? I ask cause I think that rule block people with good ideas 😉

I actually quite like the system the way it is… mainly because of all the ” Cookie Monsters ” who turn up in the game … and I think most of the people on here have met those in their Achat play.

Free users are able to read Forum but to be allowed to post & vote , I do think that they need to show more commitment to the game either by paying for a subscription or a least having the conversational skills to be offered a gift and use that gift to register here.

It also helps to filter or at least limit access to under age people & for Forum to be abused by anonymous people & multi accounts. Voting for example could be seriously disrupted.

I do see your point that we may lose some good ideas by not allowing initial free users Forum access but the cons far out weigh the pros.

Free users who are committed to the game, can always approach a member if they so desire to discuss any ideas they may have or , such as the Secret Game dates asked to be included. The premium member can then post the idea on their behalf or ask to be included in the game as long as the Director of the game agrees.

the requirement of premium membership also limits the porn spam that can overwelm forums. It doesn't cost to join the forum, if you have the short membership you can gain access during its full status; even after premium status has expired. Remeber that one cannot utilize purchases made unless one goes premium.

I had allways think we have to give some space to free users here in the forum, but as Brandy said, i don't want to see the entire forum surrounded by fake account just to make a poll option win….infact, if free users can have access to forum, i think they will be no able to get access everywhere, but just to some section, like tecnical support, just to make an egggsample!

I can understand the frustration of some free ones when they find out they can post here, really!, but it's necessary to look at this possibility under every point of view

No you don’t – and you didn’t do in your other topic. We are here to discuss new ideas 🙂

In the beginning of the game a part of the forum was free. It wasn’t helpful… Free user cannot talk about most of the things in AChat as they don’t have and don’t know them… perhaps they will just complain “we want this too!”?
You have to be prem (even just for 3 days). In these 3 days you can check many things out and also register to forum.

I understand your point of view. The question is, who has to decide if we accept a free member? You say 3 positive opinions from other members – then it can only be 3 members who are active in forum. Do you agree?

I think the system should stay as it is. There must be an incentive to be a paid member.
Just my opinion.
I haven't even been here two weeks yet.
On the other hand. There are probably paid members who take no part in the forum.

Achat’s Forum is now a new engine and as in most things there are teething problems and much is found out by members testing and by trial and error.

To login to Forum.

Forum is a different login to the Shop.

1. Open up one of the section pages – EG Posting Rules.
2. Click on that section to open the page.
3. Scroll to the bottom of the page
(A quick way to go to the bottom of the forum page is pressing on the “END” key, top right on your PC keyboard. “HOME” next to it, takes you back to the top.)

You will see this.

4. Fill in your Achat username & password and click on “login” button.

5. If you have logged in successfully, you will automatically return to the top of the page and under the section heading, it will say
“Logged in to forum as: —— YOUR NAME. (joined: Your joining date ) Logout

6. After your joining date you will see “Logout” Just click on that to log you out of Achat’s Forum.

7. You will see top right a lime green “– not logged in – “ or “Logged in as — YOUR NAME”
This refers to the Achat Web Shop which is similar to the Achat Shopping Mall in the game.
If you buy things from the Achat Web Shop, you will need to log in and out of the game to refresh your wardrobe / account. The Achat Web Shop can be accessed by clicking on “Shop” on the top menu bar, far right, next to the lime green writing.

8. To return to the Forum Home page board… Click on community at the top on the menu bar… A drop down menu appears … Forum … Click that and you are on the Forum home page again.
If you click “Home” , it takes you to Achats web page so just click on “Community” for Forum again.
