Screenshot button
either i am blind of there is no screenshot button. ;D
came to the idea as i saw a “screenshots” folder inside the achat folder on the hd. and the gallery on the main website seem to have no interface (probably just cutout in paint or so…)
but there is no key config ingame… (not that much is needed there anyways) seems the only other key that seems to be used is F10… first thought that would create a screenshot (as it pauses)… but well.. it pauses animations…
theres no screenshot button either near the camera controls, but maybe one could be added somewhere there that creates .png (png/jpeg or whatever could might be set in the options as what file type to save screenshots).
so might be nice to add a screenshot button (some F9 or something?), or mabye even add 2 (F9 for screenshot with interface and shift+F9 for a no interface one)… or a button like the “cam1/cam2/first person” ones near the camera buttons in the interface.
might even be usefull if there would be a album folder on the web profile page somewhere where you could upload your made screenshots into. and maybe mark who can see them (friends/lovers/spouse or even specific people marked with checkboxes on these lists like.. lover 1 can see the ones with him lover 2 just the ones with her if marked etc)
February 29, 2012 at 10:50 am #5575How to make screenshots (without the User Interface)?
I see in the installation folder a subfolder called Screenshots. How to take screenshots? I would like to do it.
February 29, 2012 at 10:58 am #60577seems like it's not implemented in the client. this was one of my first question too here and i had solved using the stamp button and paint….and, of course, lot of patience!
February 29, 2012 at 12:18 pm #60578hehe i did the same , but its hard to have a good “screenshot” wit paint and there is all who is writed on screen
February 29, 2012 at 1:02 pm #60579Welcome to the forum Faith,
For now, the only thing you can do, is make a printscreen and past that in either paint or another photo editting program. From there you can cut, paste and edit the screenshot to your own likings. Maybe there will be an option possible in the future, but I think the demand for in in-game photo option is just… too low.
Still, thanks for the suggestion!
February 29, 2012 at 3:40 pm #60580Hiya's…
We use printscreen and a photo editor too, and it works just fine. This is just me, but I would rather seen them working on new poses or actions and perhaps an upgrade to the chat system before a photo option in the game.
Thanks for letting me share,
PafeApril 2, 2012 at 2:40 am #62189First off, welcome to the Forum Mari_Lunalis. Yes, I noticed the screenshot folder as well. While AChat does not directly have the support built in, there is a Windows trick for the time being if you have Windows Vista or 7 called the “Snipping Tool”, under the Accessories folder on the Start Menu. It is a very nice drag-to-select interface.
While my suggestion will help for now, I would love a double option of taking a screen shot based on the current camera, and video recording (without the chat log)
April 2, 2012 at 5:46 am #62190I am trying Bandicam right now. It records video and photos with hot keys so you can keep recording without leaving the game in full screen mode. I set it up so pressing F11 records a photo or photos. For video I am using F12 to start and then stop. It seems to work the way I was hoping. I'm new though, so I'm not sure if its ok to post the link for the download.
Oops – most importantly is freeware. The only catch I could find is that when it records video there is a watermark on the top part of the screen and it records up to 10 minutes.
April 2, 2012 at 7:22 am #62191A big wellcome to Mari_Lunalis and mcgeeb!
Yes, i was surprised too about the missing screenshot button and was asking why to my self and here in the earlie time i join.
@apollo: can you give us more hint on the application!?
@mcgee: interessing! a quest: had you ever try Fraps for video!?
April 2, 2012 at 8:07 am #62192I heard about Fraps, but read that Bandicam does a better job. I may need to try both so I can compare for myself.
April 2, 2012 at 9:31 am #62193Welcome Mari and mcgeeb 🙂
This folder is existing but up to now we don’t have this button. Perhaps it will come, but up to now we have to use other ways.
If you stay here in forum you will be informed at once when this button is created 😉I will post some ways of making screenshots in the FAQ-area soon. As this question is coming up frequently, I think it’s a good idea.
April 4, 2012 at 6:28 am #62194thanks for the welcomes and all XD

I think which achat need a program or an easy mood for make a pics in room… would be nice to make it 😉
April 9, 2013 at 8:22 pm #84169Hello Warrior,
you can use software like quickpic, badicam, snipper or fraps or you use typical shortcuts/functions on your keyboard:
To make a screenshot press “Alt” + “Prt” (sometimes its called prtsc or something like this). Also you can use “CTRL” + “p”
The pic is copied into clipboard. You can open and rework with any program eg paint).Or use PrtScr button (it copies into the clipboard), then paste into your image-editing software like Paint.
April 9, 2013 at 10:51 pm #84170Windows 7 has a built in ability called a snipping tool… great for capturing room shots and especially cropping the room shot
