We had 'Red Ken' as Mayor Of London.
Now we have 'Red Khan', as Leader Of The House Jacob Rees-Mogg calls him.
The Mayor (which is itself a very ancient, historical post) of the U.K's capital has had the wonderful idea of “erasing” much of the historic street names and landmarks in London as part of his Diversity Commission's review of the city's  statues, street names, memorials and building names.
I'm a great believer and supporter of diversity and welcome any efforts to encourage it.
But why, instead of doing away with reminders of the city and indeed the nation's history, has the plonker not thought of maybe new statues, naming new buildings and the streets/roads that come with new development for his plan to draw attention to diversity?

How VERY dare you, Khan, is all I have to say.
Leave our heritage alone you meddling muppet.

Whilst acknowledging and admiring the work he's done for children, especially those with special needs, over the years, I find the man himself teeth-grindingly aggravating and his sugary goody-goody projection of himself too much to bear.

forever on the tv as if it is a permanent soundtrack
to my life.  Please Mr Attenborough retire, you are 94

It's not all that often we disagree, but I have to on this occasion.
He's done so much to raise awareness of and promote interest in not only the wonders of the more sensible species on our planet (the one's happy to co-exist with it, not destroy it) but has also become synonymous with many organisations doing so much great work to encourage education and interest in our world.
I'd like to unbuckle his seatbelt and take him for a coffee and listen to some of the amazing stories he must have by the thousand.

This woman presents the tv weather forecast
and has the most annoying way of saying the words
“take care” at the end.  Those words that have eased
their way into our vocabulary like “how are you ?”
“have a nice day”, “enjoy the rest of your day” and
worst of all “sorry for your loss” are totally
meaningless.  There is no thought put into the
bland regurgitation of these empty phrases which
are devoid of any sincerity.  It is hard not to be polite
when someone says it to you in person, though I have
sometimes replied with “may the force be with you”
but when some muttonhead tv presenter says it with
grim regularity it is hard for me not to shout abuse
back at the dumb bitch.  So, In you go, love.

a bit like Attenborough only he did a proper job (it has nothing
