August 23, 2020 at 9:13 am #109414analettaParticipantI'm having a KT day today. So I'll apologise now for posting so much of her. Hopefully some will enjoy at least some.
Kate Bush — The Kick Inside at Efteling 1978
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B5Kz26VSpqg
“The song The Kick Inside was inspired by a traditional folk song and it was an area that I wanted to explore because it's one that is really untouched and that is one of incest. There are so many songs about love, but they are always on such an obvious level. This song is about a brother and a sister who are in love, and the sister becomes pregnant by her brother. And because it is so taboo and unheard of, she kills herself in order to preserve her brother's name in the family. The actual song is in fact the suicide note. The sister is saying 'I'm doing it for you' and 'Don't worry, I'll come back to you someday.''” (Kate Bush, 1978)

Kate Bush, barely out of school, here delivers an astonishing debut album, with a fully developed and mature style musically and lyrically. Enticing feminine poetry combined with clever moody harmonies, given life by her accomplished piano playing and unique vocalisations, pretty, possessed, haunted, weird and wonderful. She lays her heart and soul on the table, and with a cool confidence tempered with a charming humility, takes us on a musical ride through her zany, beautiful life and loves, blending eclectic influences and idioms while creating her own original and recognisable style. Exceptional talent. Jathon Delsey

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XZm8ciAdPcc
Oh! England, my Lionheart
I'm in your garden, fading fast in your arms
The soldiers soften, the war is over
The air raid shelters are blooming clover
Flapping umbrellas fill the lanes
My London Bridge in rain againOh! England, my Lionheart!
Peter Pan steals the kids in Kensington Park
You read me Shakespeare on the rolling Thames
That old river poet that never, ever ends
Our thumping hearts hold the ravens in
And keep the tower from tumblingOh! England, my Lionheart
Oh! England, my Lionheart
Oh! England, my Lionheart
I don't want to goOh! England, my Lionheart!
Dropped from my black Spitfire to my funeral barge
Give me one kiss in apple-blossom
Give me one wish, and I'd be wassailing
In the orchard, my English rose
Or with my shepherd, who'll bring me homeOh! England, my Lionheart
Oh! England, my Lionheart
Oh! England, my Lionheart
I don't want to go
Oh! England, my Lionheart
Oh! England, my Lionheart

Breathing
Kate BushOutside
Gets inside
Through her skin
I've been out before
But this time it's much safer inLast night in the sky
Such a bright light
My radar sends me danger
But my instincts tell me to keepBreathing
(Out, in, out, in, out, in)
Breathing
Breathing my mother in
Breathing my beloved in
Breathing
Breathing her nicotine
Breathing
Breathing the fall-out in
Out in, out in, out in, out inWe've lost our chance
We're the first and the last, ooh
After the blast
Chips of plutonium
Are twinkling in every lungI love my
Beloved, ooh
All and everywhere
Only the fools blew it
You and me
Knew life itself isBreathing
(Out, in, out, in, out, in)
Breathing
Breathing my mother in
Breathing my beloved in
Breathing
Breathing her nicotine
Breathing
Breathing the fall-out in
Out in, out in, out in, out in
Out in, out in, out in, out
(Out, out, out)Ooh please!
(What are we going to do without)
Let me breathe!
(What are we going to do without)
Ooh, breath in
(We are all going to die without)
Leave me something to breathe!
(What are we going to do without)
Oh, leave me something to breathe!
(We are all going to die without)
Oh, God, please leave us something to breathe!

Well I got everything I need
In the backseat of my car
Got plenty of sweaters
I got those CDs that you like
And all the songs we sang last night
And I got youAnd sometimes you frown
And sometimes you look scared
Well, I am too
I'm scared that no one will be there
I'm scared that no one really cares
When it gets roughI'd love for you to stay
But how do you feel
Now how do you feel
I'd love for you to say
Just how you feel
Just how you feel, instead of walking away
Just say anything
Anything would be fine, anything would be fine
I'd love for you to say anythingAnd now we're right back at the start
Where it started before
Where it began
With all those awkward silences (?)
And all those awkward moments
That I wish would never, ever, ever, ever passI'd love for you to stay
But how do you feel
Now how do you feel
I'd love for you to say
Just how you feel
Just how you feel, before you walk away
Just say anything
Anything would be fine, anything would be fine
'Cause I'd love for you to say anythingAnd she said:
How do you do
How do you do, do, do this
How do you do, do, do this
How do you do
How do you do
How do you do, do, do this
How do you do, do, do this
How do you do
How do you do
How do you do, do, do this
How do you do, do, do this
How do you do
And why do you do
Do this to me?August 27, 2020 at 12:29 pm #109420analettaParticipantIvy Levan — Hot Damn

Blowen here bellewes that al here brain brestes.
