While the current Chat System is rudimentary at best, it has both pros and cons. Let’s provide a list to enable the Dev Team to properly evaluate the chat system before implementing any changes.

PROS
– Global Communication from player to player easily accessed by the Chat Button on a players profile.
– The chat system is in real time within the Game Module (AChat Client Window).
– Incoming messages are displayed as they are received, regardless of who sent them.
– A complete message history available for quick reference.
– A Block feature immediately accessible via the “ZZZ” button and/or a Player’s “Ignore” List.

CONS
– Unsolicited Communications from other players containing verbal abuse and/or non-game related suggestions to communicate via other chat programs.
– Some players repeatedly flood the chat system because they don’t like to be kept waiting and want an immediate response to their message.
– Confusion, resulting in the wrong message being sent to the wrong person.
– Copy and paste function is only keyboard accessible (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+P).
– New members often having difficulty finding someone to help them.

I invite other members to make future suggestions in this manner, in order to assist the DEV team in evaluating the current Chat system.

Tabbed chat system is important!

While I do agree in principle, the AChat Client window is already quite full. Where do you propose the “TABS” be positioned when not in room? Perhaps a PM button when you wish to have a private conversation without being disturbed? Some details would be most beneficial so all of us can comprehend and/or visualise the suggested “TABS” and how it could possibly impact the current chat functions.

Yeah, I've wanted this for a very long time, I send way to many messages to the wrong people now.

I totally agree with you Adera, I’ve done it myself on occasions too numerous to count. I’ve had to start training myself to always check who a message is intended for before sending it. Attention to detail is critical to avoid the embarrassment at times.

One suggestion I would like to make is a… Let’s call it a “Favourites Tab” of sorts… where the chat is split into a “General” Tab” where the Global messages can continue to be sent and received as they currently are… and a Special Tab where players can message each other directly without interruption. Because of space issues in the current chat window, having a LIMIT of perhaps 2-3 TABS in total, might be the only way for a TAB system to be implemented at the current time.

Thoughts? Discussions? Pros & Cons?

After this, Azrielle, i'll back to your request. i have some doubt on the Peak Cap….it's only about different texture or am i wrong!?

The Bicycles would be a definate improvement over the pedal cars, and less expensive too.

About the Peak Cap – Gender specific for males. The Cap can remain as it is, excepting the colour change with a white top and red headband, with the NSPD Star affixed to it. Fairly simple, I think. Once again, the whole basis for this clothing request was to keep everything fairly simple and where possible, utilise existing UV-maps, with minimal modifications.

To add to my above post(s)… I can sketch, and visualise my conception of the NSPD uniform set, but alas… when it comes to using the Texture Tool, Total FAIL. LOLZ. Maybe with some more time playing with it, I might be able to, but I just do not have the time to be able to learn how to use it.

I extend an invitation to anyone familiar with using the texture tool to submit a “Contract Tender” for NSPD Uniform designs. Within the existing clothing options there already exists clothing, that with detail changes could easily be used in the NSPD Uniform set(s) as described in my initial post.

example 1: The blouse from the “School Girl” set. Remove the “Collar” (blue trim around the neck, both front and back) and leave the neck tie, replace it with a normal collar, and make it a long sleve garment, with a button front… Done.

Example 2: the “blue jean long leg shorts” from the Freebies. Change the texture mapping to remove the pockets and seams, make it a basic black… and done.

Example 3: any one of the Stetsons – change the colour to White, and afix the NSPD star to it… Done.

Example 4: either of the 2 Pirate Hats – Leave the “Bowler” rounded center as it is. Change the outer brim to 1/2 the size, widen the front “peak” into a visor (like the existing police cap) and delete the two rear “peaks” making into a single fold up, overall similar to a “peter Pan” style brim all the way around.

I made my request to be as simple as possible and utilising existing texture/clothing maps. The only limitation being having someone to do the actual maps and compiling them all into a clothing set.

Just to Clarify my above post… I used the terms “Official” and “Officials” (both being singular and plural) to denote members of the DEV-Team… at no time was the word(s) I chose to use meant to be implied, whether directly or indirectly, to mean members of the forum or are customers (paying and free members alike).

AS far as Specific Designs for clothing… Having independent Fashion designers creating independant lines of clothing for sale in the shop is a positively awesome idea! The benefits of this begin to stagger the mind… namely but not solely limited to:

1. Pantless Fridays being abolished where the guys have access to quality clothing at reasonable prices for us ladies to enjoy seeing them wearing… Like a KILT! (RRRRRRR!)

2. For us Ladies to have even more shoes! (I wuv my shoes!).

3. Creation of yet another area of the forum where independant clothing shops can be implemented and when texture maps are completed, directly uploaded to a “designer's Warehouse” within the shop by the designers who made them.

once again… namely but not solely limited to… I am certain there are other people who  will be adding their ideas next.

Hey Bear!

I really think you are on to something with your post. I think it would be a great idea for ALL “OFFICIAL” game Moderators and Administrators to have a special colour star on their game account profiles. While most of us would probably never see this person's profile during a normal course of game play, having any Game “OFFICIALS” recognizable when they are logged into the AChat Client Window could be be very beneficial in keeping the TOS Violators, and numerous undesirables off the Game Site entirely.

More police clothing could definitely work as well as clothing from other professions. Azrielle, should the female clothing, like the ballistic protection be realistic or sexy?

There's quite a lot of hot role plays that can be done with working clothes, like a female officer that is for some reason cuffed together with a big strong felon. There's also the one where an officer makes a woman do something so she doesn't loose her drivers license or the likes… I can think of so many right away.

Yes, Adera… I gave a fair amount of thought to this request as an overall package. Realistic in scope, sexy by function without being “Trashy”.  A lot of Role PLay can be a lot of fun and the only limit is the imagination of the players involved.
