With Thanksgiving holidays quickly approaching in a year where CoVid headlines eclipse those of Black Friday sales… in all that noise i am reminded what's truly important… Family n Friends. Those “things” that can't be replaced in your life. Those “things” that become part of your life… are not things at all.

Hi Wllm *hugs* welcome to Forum and Game.
See you have already met Sonia n Jessi so I won’t waste your time reposting what they've already shared… just Ditto. Years ago, the Forum had Eldars (moderators) helpful peeps, experienced n wise. Here to help the new n lost and protect this sanctuary keeping it alive n safe for all. And In Game… their counterparts… the Mentors, helping those “first” encounters, navigate a new world.
Though long abandoned and now history… there are still the “usual suspects” that continue to step up n carry their torch, here in Forum and Game. Some you have already met.
Always willing to listen and help if they can or find someone who can. All you need do is give the Forum a shout out… someone will shout back. YES, the Forum is a big sprawling place 😮 reminding me of an old museum suffering from too many additions n renovations. A landscape of wings, hallways, rooms n closets. Easy to get lost and even harder to find something for the unexperienced. I know it seemed “intimidating” to me when I made my first post in the “introduce Yourself” thread. But being a curious feline with too much time… at that time. :
I began to meander those endless hallways peeking into dark rooms, some unopened for years… in them treasures. Pieces of peeps lives, a feeling or tune shared with their peers. A sense of community. But i quickly became a Forum dweller… fueled by my slightly OCD tendencies, venturing deeper, reading everything I stumbled upon, including everything new. Time wasted? Perhaps… but it led me to one of the most wonderful n unexpected experiences in my life becoming a priceless relationship for the past 4+ years… Andrea :-*
Anywho… back to YOUR post, I tend to get distracted n wordy. Though there is no giant BANNER waving for your attention promising all the answers to all your questions… there is some logic n organization to the Forum amongst all its clutter.
As I see it… there are 5 main wings (sections) to the Forum, each with multiple floors (topics) housing common rooms (threads) containing countless posts. In addition, within each of the topics… just like a library… there are “Reference” rooms where all the important stuff is kept and secured, usually locked for read only. These you will find “Pinned” at the top of every topic.
I’m only going to point out the most relevant and some of my favs so I don’t put everyone to sleep..

Nothing of “real” importance here… just GREAT music, lots of eye candy and silliness.
hmm, but it is where I spend most of my time. 😮The SEARCH function is helpful… though really only if you drill down into the Advanced Search which is achieved by leaving the Search field blank and clicking on Search, then clicking on Advanced Search inside the pop up screen. This lets ya improve your Search accuracy and parameters.
And when all else fails or you’re just too lazy or impatient to bother 😮 just give the Forum a shout out. As you see… you will get an answer.
Hope this was worth the trouble n time of reading. Most of all, be who you want, engage in what you like, ignore what you don’t, give others the same curtesy and ENJOY your exploration.

Hi Jan *hugs* Welcome to Forum… a SAFE place.
Not many trolls venture into this place. Kinda always been a sanctuary for me. When i read of “bad” experiences such as your own… i'm saddened and disappointed that our world is no better than any other occupied by humans. Regardless how many good peeps… there will always be damaged ones too. Too broken, hardened, bitter n spiteful… void of compassion or empathy to give… the only way they know of lifting themselves is at the expense of others, pulling them down into their own abyss.
Like V and others have recommended… best solution is Avoidance. Surround yourself with good peeps. YES, this takes time, takes chatting and getting to know others. Be weary of those that want to get too close n “personal” too quickly… other than for the FUN quickly.
Just apply the same common sense you would in IRL. It's really no different, we all come with baggage… some of it harder to leave behind than others. :Your post also reminds me how lucky n blessed my experience here has been since my first days. With a cast of special peeps taking me under their care, introducing me to others and mentoring me. You know, you don't have to be a “Mentor” to mentor, just care enough to try. I am thankful for each of them… those that are still close, those that have passed or left and those that have faded.
Words and actions are no different here than any other place… choose them carefully for yourself and use them wisely to judge the character n intentions of others. As for the “stalker” or “bully”, IGNORE THEM. Don't give them what they need. Your attention.
A personal tip…. stick to the shallow waters, don't get too deep here or share personal details too quickly. There are depths beyond compare and just like IRL… monsters lurking in the dark.
Hope i haven't scared ya away 😮 and hope you stick around long enough to bump into some of those “good” peeps. Your FUN will certainly improve when you do. Then your problem will be managing all your fun with limited time.
