Sorry, it’s bots only? There’s not any multi-player aspect to AChat Next (yet?). Mhm, okay. For the time being, I’ll sill stick to my two other multi-player outlets for “play” for the time being and keep watching to see if this improves in any way going forward.
I’m really glad that most of the images here are of shibari with the forum thread title, and not kinbaku.
I find that North Americans use the term shibari frequently, and incorrectly, when referring to the more sexualized form of rope binding that is properly called kinbaku. In formal shibari, the one who is bound is rarely, if ever, touched by spectators. The simplest way to explain difference between the two terms is that shibari is purely for aesthetics, while kinbaku usually involves sexual engagement as well.
And if you’ve never tried it, and are interested, there are lots of very good rope masters (often called kinbakushi) in most major cities who have been well trained. If you ever get a chance to see the work done by the late Akira Naka, I highly recommend it. Pure artistry.
Also highly recommend trying it. 😉

Upgrades and newly added features > So, this rumoured January 2022 graphics and game update … ?The tl;dr version is that we don;t know if it’s an upgrade or new software, and except for the many new screens, do not have any real concrete info about a release date.
August 4, 2022 at 2:58 pm in reply to: So, this rumoured January 2022 graphics and game update … ? #199700As a casual AChat user but long time developer, I have always assumed that AChat “2” aka AChat Next was going to be a new, completely stand-alone game, without any ties back into AChat, except maybe account name/log-in information. I have not seen that stated so specifically before, but am totally not surprised that this is the direction the company is taking. Despite the release delays, I’m sure it would have been even more difficult to somehow build the new stuff into a legacy code and graphics base.
It’s also why I find people promoting new things for AChat like clothing, poses, etc, very odd, given that I have always assumed they would never be transferable. Why buy for an old game about to be completely replaced, instead of saving your money for the new UI/game? Unless A$ you buy are also transferable since they could be based on a user account and NOT the game? Maybe?

July 25, 2022 at 3:57 pm in reply to: So, this rumoured January 2022 graphics and game update … ? #199634I am here every day now, refreshing the forums and waiting for someone to have posted a “OMG, it’s released!” topic for Achat Next.
Probably followed within hours by the first “OMG, AChat Next totally sucks!” thread.
🙂
gotta be the https or the site blocking it
Thanks Jessi, did exactly that (not exactly a newbie forum poster, and know HTML backwards and forwards, I’m a rare female front end coder type) but no luck. I may try again.
nope, i’m an idiot, sorry

Good to know this has been solved.
December 28, 2021 at 4:04 am in reply to: So, this rumoured January 2022 graphics and game update … ? #186535True, and I’m 100% behind a bug-free-as-possoble release, but I’d even appreciate a screen shot or two at this point to see what the improvement is going to look like, visually. If it’s anywhere near close to done, we should be seeing hints of what’s in store, if the developers wanted to generate interest among users and potentially new users.
Are the devs not on the forums at all?
