I couldn't write it better (and I haven't) and I agree with every word. Although I don't ignore them as of putting them on my iggy list, I just plainly ignore them, let the countdown drop to zero and that's it. They mostly never try it again anyway. Well mostly. Or am I just lucky enough to meet those, that have enough in their brains, to understand, that I'm not interested in them. Who knows.
Not only the shoes, Jay, not only them. But well, that's another story (for another specialist).
I think I take a looooong stay this time, if nothing will go wrong, that is.Thanks guys. One hug is never enough. Well, first off, Lexi is actually my personal best as well, there are other options, Alex, Alexa, Lex, or … well Sasha in the end.
I think it was more like a stasis or so, looking at my AChat avatar, it didn't really changed a bit (looking in the mirror … well “better no comment silly girl” does the other person say lol).
2 years is a long time, I could visit the forum at least, yes, but what good would that be, if I'm cut out from the actual action in the game? So I decided not to come here, till … well never ever. But when I turned that new comp for the first time on, one of my initial thoughts were about AChat. And about it's community, the people here on the forum. The people I had on my friendlist/loverlist/spouselist (you know). So here I am, after 2 years of sobering, let's get (AChat)drunk again!People do crazy things, Cold invites are just one of those. Yes, Blind date might be the same, but with Cold invite, they have more control of whom they want fuck and whom not (at least, that's my guess, actually haven't tried Blind date, so don't know, how that works).
Back again.
Hello, it’s me, Levi, Lexi, or whatever you want call me.
Long ago, 200 years in the past, I had a dream, well many dreams, but one of those was about using AChat. But I had a crappy old computer, hardly managing the system itself. At first, AChat worked … somehow. But you know, it gets update after update, my comp said NO, no AChat for you! I was sad. But life went on, year after year after year after year … 200 years have passed and I finally got a new, stronger machine. I said to myself, why not trying AChat? So I went trough installation and voila!
So that’s my sad story. And what is yours?Hello guys, I'm back. Most of you probably don't remember me, but that's fine, I was away for 200 years, well it was just 2 years, but even that long is an eternity. So I installed recently (2 days ago) AChat and been browsing the forum, which brought me to this topic. Well, I read, that those checkboxes about characterisation were removed, exchanged for some whore stuff, or what, but after logging in and looking on my character customization window in AChat, I still see those checkboxes. Is it because of an older client, or was it brought back while I took that 200 years long slumber?
I am just pretty much confused, so thanks for your replies.Just as I feared. The 1.1.8.O (or 1.18) version of AChat is working, but can't log in, it gives me the “Dear user, your version is out of date! Please restart the program, it will upgrade automatically.” message everytime. It won't upgrade though, because it still is the 1.18 version however it is trying. Despite what the message reads, it won't upgrade on it's own. And when I do (wia the later versions of the installator), it won't work at all.
I can't find the smaller version of the installer anywhere, whatever download button I press, it always gives me the bigger version to download, even the 389 MB button gives me the 544 MB AChat instead.
I have one installator of the size 386 MB (from earlier time), but it's version 1.1.8.0, which will either prompt me to update anyway, or won't work at all I guess.Got some emails from the support team, sending them the “startlog.txt” file and they say that it seems not to be in graphics, like AChat crashing even before attempting to load graphic stuff. Strange. But I'm downloading the smaller installator now, who knows, I may be lucky and it might solve the problem. Hope so at least.
Hello, BrandyBee, I'll quote here, what I wrote in another section of the forum:
Deleting the files in the AChat folder you say? Well, this is, what I did:
1. uninstalling AChat
2. going to AppData/Local, deleting the whole AChat folder with all that was left in there
3. going to the same place, finding the folder Programs, in there deleting AChat_old (or something like that)
4. rebooting my computer
5. downloading and installing AChat version 2.11
The AppCrash still there. This could be considered as a clean installation of AChat, but the problem's still there.
The ticket already sent by me to the support, when Peeka advised me to do so, but thank you for yours as well. All I can do now is waiting for their reply.Deleting the files in the AChat folder you say? Well, this is, what I did:
1. uninstalling AChat
2. going to AppData/Local, deleting the whole AChat folder with all that was left in there
3. going to the same place, finding the folder Programs, in there deleting AChat_old (or something like that)

The AppCrash still there.Hello there. Okay first thing first. I'm getting AppCrash upon launching AChat and it was hinted that this new feature might be the cause. So after reading it here (all six pages), I decided to ask 3 simple questions here:
1. how do I know, it is really that missing .DLL stuff, what is causing my error? I didn't get any message aside of the AppCrash itself, and there's no mentioning about anything missing there.
2. which .DLL am I missing?
3. where do I get the missing .DLL from and where do I have to put it in, to fix this problem of mine?
Sorry for bothering you here as well, folks, but I'm starting to feel pretty desperate for not being able to launch AChat (I got pretty addicted, well who of you didn't?).Yes, I should send a ticket to the support team (I might have to do it before even posting here in the first place, I guess), but well, that's just me, first asking questions, then trying to solve things the way they should be solved
I suppose you don't have high graphics set on on achat?
I don't have the HD files, but a very strange thing is, I had them once and AChat did work with them, the only thing was, that my graphics card didn't support it and I saw the new stuff (hairstyles and such) as plain white, instead of in color. But AChat still worked at that time.
Thank you, even trying to help counts.
Btw a friend of mine has the very same problem (getting AppCrash upon completing the autoupdate process), but her comp is a more advanced machine actually, something just 3 years old, which should be able to run most of the new games and applications. I don't know her exact specs and she's not able to post here, since she's just a basic member (who can't register on this forum, I guess), but I could ask her about them.
Both of us were able to run AChat half a year back, but she just got the same “Dear user, you are using an older version of AChat …” message, which prompted us to update to the newest version. Just like me, she installed the AChat version 2.11 and then it means AppCrash for her too. That's pretty strange actually.Well, my specs are:
processor: AMD Athlon XP 2500+ 1.47 GHz
memory RAM: 1.25 GB
graphics chipset: Nvidia GeForce FX 5200
OS: Windows 7Graphics drivers up to date (using the Nvidia Experience application, which keeps drivers updated).
I know, it's not the strongest computer in the world (I said already it's obsolete, more than 15 years old, I can't afford any better), but it always worked well with AChat, only recently the problems started, first getting AppCrash right after updating AChat wia the autoupdater application. I tried my luck and decided to cancel the process in pure desperation, which happened to be a temporal solution. AChat worked well. But since yesterday instead of logging in, it gave me the message that I'm using an older version of AChat and have to restart and update the application. I did that. The AppCrash came back.
