RabParticipant
avn613,
please try if it works without the router. If yes, we'll check your router's spec, please give its the exact model.
RabParticipantp3nnonizuka,
AChat uses the port 39001 and the UDP protocol.May 13, 2009 at 6:16 am in reply to: Solved. Achat crashes and error message “Check internet connection” #9039RabParticipantYou don't have access to the router's settings? Maybe the administrator disabled UDP connections, please contact him.
May 12, 2009 at 6:17 am in reply to: Solved. Achat crashes and error message “Check internet connection” #9038RabParticipantUsually it's in the router's settings, if you are behind one.
Are you behind a router, or how do you connect to the net?RabParticipantWe had a server problem, sorry, it should be Ok now.

please check if UDP protocol is not blocked in your firewall. Other than most internet applications, AChat uses that protocol…May 6, 2009 at 9:59 am in reply to: Solved: When in Achat my wireless connectikon keeps dropping out #9160RabParticipantJohn@Mark,
no bug/problem of this type is known by us at the moment… (we just checked it again).
AChat uses the UDP protocol (not TCP), please check in your firewall/router that there are no set restrictions for it.
Does your problem persist till? What hardware do you use?RabParticipantWhat operating system do you use?
Do you have a router, what type?
If you start AChat, what message do you see?
Does the “auto upgrader”, which is called immediately after program start, sends an error message?RabParticipantJessica, Aden, Alexia,
we'll check again the connect algorithm, we'll give you further test-instructions shortly. Please stay tuned.RabParticipantAre you on a local subnet behind a router, or your computer connects directly to the net?
Do you have xp or vista?
What type of internet connection do you use?March 31, 2009 at 11:45 pm in reply to: Solved. Achat crashes and error message “Check internet connection” #9031RabParticipantalbinobritt,
you can try it again, we tuned a little bit on the login logic, there are chances that you can now login successfully. I hope at least.March 30, 2009 at 10:26 pm in reply to: Solved. Achat crashes and error message “Check internet connection” #9032RabParticipantPlease consider that this issue probably has nothing to do with any web address.
If this is really a firewall problem, then in the firewall settings, the name of the program running on your computer must be given, not a web address.
If “achat” is not present in the exceptions list of the firewall, then use the “Add program” button to add it.
Do you have a router? Is its firewall on?
Did you use any net-based game before successfully? (I mean no browser-based, but installed online application.)March 30, 2009 at 5:53 pm in reply to: Solved. Achat crashes and error message “Check internet connection” #9030RabParticipantPlease check your firewall settings. In XP, the entries on the “Exceptions” tab must contain “achat”. If it doesn't, please use “Add” for adding it.
Normally, during the first start, the operating system asks if it should open the port for Achat, but you can ensure it this way. -
