According to what I see, and what is mentioned on the achat home page, achat beta has been merged with achat. You will see references to people logged in to achat next now in the people search.
Plus there are a few other changes visible in the form of new icons.
I have not had time to look farther into it.
It also shows dozens and dozens of guest accounts listed as online.
I hope that, that does not continue for long, or there will be a massive drone attack on people.

Achat Beta is now available on the achat (not logged in) homepage.
It is “NOT” achat next, but a beta test version of the standard achat client.

First off, it is running on a separate network, so you will only find friends in public rooms and possibly private rooms if they are also running achat beta.

You can see people listed as online, who are on the regular achat client, but I did not try to invite any.
But I suspect that you would not be able to invite them, because people in regular achat public rooms, do not appear in the beta public rooms.

It will also act as a bridge between achat, achat mobile, and achat next, according to the banner at the top of the window.

Graphics are the same, no change from regular achat.
Poses all work, including B shop poses that did not previously always work in public rooms.
It may be faster transitioning between actions, but that might be a side effect of running on a different network server with less traffic.

It is supposed to be switched to in a few weeks.

It turns out that you can be logged in to both achat and achat beta at the same time with the same account.
Out of curiosity, I tried to invite myself, but it would not allow it.

So,,, I tried the demo of the new AChat next, which is available on the unlogged in home page of AChat.

It is a limited access demo, so all comments below are on the demo only…
1st: It accepted the login details from my already existing account.
2nd: Graphics look pretty good.
3rd: It uses a monthly subscription format, but does not accept the fact that you have already paid for premium on the basic AChat client, which SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
4th: it only has available at this time, MF poses, so everyone else is screwed.
5th: I did not spend a lot of time on it, but there are a large number of bots that you can mess with, and each allows you to try a few of the different poses, but then the rest of the poses are locked out, unless you pay for the subscription. Owning all of the MF poses and having Premium on the old achat makes no difference at all at this time. It appears that you have to pay for the AChat Next subscription to get full access.

Graphics are good, but I have to say, that everything else, SUCKS!!! at this time….
I will likely stay with the old AChat

The new achat was supposed to go online about the end of February.
What happened at the end of February?
Russia invaded the Ukraine and came under heavy sanctions.
Russia was heavily invested in server farms.
Also, we do not know where the owners of achat are located.
Are they in Russia?

If achat was planning to use Russian servers, and then after making initial investments in them, was unable to use them; the release could not go forward until replacements could be found, and funded.
If the owners were Russians, then they would have issues with setting up the additional servers in other countries and also getting the experienced programmers to work on it, as well as network people.

Just an idea that I had.

Absolutely.
The thread they took down was seen by a lot of people and the people with the info still have copies of everything.

The dislikes get used as a punishment for turning down cold invites, or given for no reason at all. 
I know paid members who have left for other sites because of it.

As to why it is taking so long, it may be because it is tied into the user levels.  Removing it will drastically alter some peoples levels.  They may be trying to figure out a way around that, but frankly I would not care if removing the dislikes cut my level in half. 
I'm at 265 now, and could not give a damn if it dropped it even farther if they just got rid of the crappy thing.

Replace it with private message for friends only feature, or nothing at all.

I had an idea for something, but I'm not sure if they can implement it.

A private room that people can be invited into in groups of say six people or maybe more, so that they could either have some privacy to talk, or simulate an orgy or agang bang if they wished, using the existing poses..
It could be a room that users need to purchase, and or a Premium perk.

I think it would be very popular with a lot of people, since I quite often see and hear people wishing that they could have more people involved than the game currently allows.

People in that room could either actively participate in the play, or act as voyeurs if that is what they want to do, or just wait their turn to participate in the play.
