“Oh my, look at that,” were the thoughts that immediately came to mind as I watched a tall, good looking man getting out of a pickup truck. He was wearing faded blue jeans, a faded denim jacket and cowboy boots. I saw him reach into the truck door and take a cowboy hat, then he tossed the hat back inside before shutting the door, “that has to be him.”
Pookie and I were at the Windmill restaurant in Belmar waiting to see if another member of achat would show up and buy us lunch.
I kept my eyes on this man as he casually walked across the parking lot towards the restaurant door. As he got closer, I could feel myself becoming excited. If it was Covems, this would be the first time I ever met another person from a social web site, and this was a good looking guy.
Finally, he opened the door to the Windmill and stepped inside. Pookie was silent, which is very rare for her. I wasn't, so I took up the mantle and started the conversation. I was so glad that this handsome cowboy was Covems.
We had an enjoyable lunch. Besides the food being so good, the company and the conversations were fun and very humorous. Covems likes to poke fun, and this was no exception. The first thing, after introductions, was for him to poke fun at our height.
We laughed a lot, chatting about almost everything, especially the Shore and his home in Montana, and the whole time he referred to us as Miss Pookie and Miss Terri. I loved the stories about his Mama! I can picture her whacking him with that wooden spoon for not taking his hat off inside her house.
Covems walked us to Pookie's car when we were finished with our lunch, and told us he would wait to make sure her car started and we were on our way.
